W​ednesday 30 August 2023 - Brisbane - Mary Valley Rattler - Hervey Bay

Today we step back in time as we travel on board the heritage steam journey through the picturesque Mary Valley. After 6 years of restoration, the Mary Valley Rattler has got a full head of steam and is ready to share the scenery from Gympie to Amamoor and returning to Gympie. Admire the historical display at Gympie Station before enjoying lunch on the platform. This afternoon, continue on to Hervey Bay where we'll settle in for the next two nights.

T​hursday 31 August 2023 - Hervey Bay Whales and Australiana Cottage

Today enjoy a half day whale watching cruise including morning tea and buffet lunch. Naturally, weather conditions and sighting whales cannot be guaranteed, however, every opportunity is provided to view the Humpbacks from your comfortable vessel with room to move around to maximise seeing whale activity and photographic opportunities of these majestic creatures. This afternoon, after returning to the mainland, take time to explore the Esplanade before a visit to Australiana Cottage Crafts specialising in locally made and most certainly Australian gifts and nick-nacks. Don't overlook some of the early remedies from various common herbs spices.

F​riday 01 September 2023 - Hervey Bay - Brisbane

After breakfast, we farewell Hervey Bay and travel to the fishing village of Tin Can Bay for morning tea. Continue on to the popular coastal town of Tewantin for lunch before making our way back into Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.

An additional charge may apply to passengers with pickup/drop off addresses in zones two and three; your consultants will advise at the time of booking. A door to door service may be available to passengers outside of our pickup zones; please ask your consultants at the time of booking.

Luggage
Each passenger is entitled to bring a cabin bag on board with a maximum weight of 5kg and one suitcase only, with a maximum weight of 20kg unless otherwise stated on individual tour itineraries.
