The Australian Wooden Boat Festival celebrates our country's rich maritime culture and history and is the largest wooden boat festival in the Southern Hemisphere. Held every second year along Hobart's waterfront, you'll have four days to explore the festival. There are hundreds of wooden boats of all sizes to look at and you can chat to the owners and builders or sit back and watch the activity on the water.
Watch the boat builders at work or learn new skills from the experts, watch the boats in action - from small model boats to Tall Ships as they race on the River Derwent.
On the water you'll be able to see the Parade of Sails, or enjoy a harbour cruise. Listen to the experts talk about the adventures on the water, or learn about traditional crafts and skills. There's so much to see and learn about Australia's maritime history and boat building.
