Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive on Norfolk Island and be transferred to the resort. Check in and relax in the heated swim spa pool – your holiday has officially started!

Days 2-5:  The resort is located in the prime Burnt Pine district of Norfolk, making everything close and easy to access. The island’s shops, restaurants and pubs are all within a walk, but we’ve included a hire-car in our holiday. Feel free to explore Norfolk to your heart’s content. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. We’ve already added on three tours in your holiday!

The second tour in your holiday is called the ‘Taste of Norfolk’. Here, you’ll visit an apiary, talk to an apiculturist about how honey is collected, and so on. Yes, there will be a tasting session. Then, the tour will take you to visit a fruit-grower, cattle-herder and round off with a local cooking session where you’ll sample Tahitian-inspired seasonal delicacies. Oftentimes, there’s our favourite – green banana fritters drizzled with honey.

The last tour on your holiday will take you further into Norfolk's foodie scene – it’s the Farm & Industry Special. You’ll be taken on tour of beautiful pastures, talk to sheep farmers, market gardeners, local soft drink and liqueur makers, and more.

Want more? Sign up for a progressive dinner; travellers get invited to a proper home-cooked meal across multiple local island homes.

But that’s not all Norfolk has to offer. Take the rental car you have out to explore the island, ask the staff to pack you picnic and go find a meadow or a woodland to soak up the fresh Pacific breeze. History buffs, Norfolk will satiate you – check out the museum, go for an after-dark audio tour of ‘1856 – The Untold Story’, check out the rare cyclorama depicting the mutiny.

Day 6: Of course, there will be the friendly meet-and-greet to take you to the airport, too! We hope to see you back again very soon!

FAQs

About Norfolk Island:

Norfolk Island is a remote isle in the Pacific Ocean, set between Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand. Beautiful rolling plains, forest-covered hills, long swathes of beaches and a rich history make this destination much sought-after. Its small, close-knit community of locals, plenty of activities, experiences and cultural events keep Norfolk lively at all hours.

As a former penal colony, history buffs would love the years of history preserved in the museums in Kingston. As the same time, there is plenty to shop as Norfolk doesn’t have as many taxes as Australia and New Zealand – so have at it! Wining and dining are excellent here too, from budget outlet to fine dining restaurants with great views of the coast, it’s all there for the choosing. Keep an eye out for daily events – there’s so much to see, do and experience while in Norfolk!
