3 Day Wineries & Heritage Tour (17 - 19 Nov 2022)

Day 1: Thursday 17 November 2022

As we begin our adventure to discover the South Burnett, we stop for morning tea at Kilcoy before continuing onto The Endeavour Foundation’s Kingaroy Kitchen where we have the opportunity to purchase their scrumptious biscuits. This will be followed by wine tasting and lunch at Kingsley GroveEstate before visiting “Bethany” - home of former Queensland Premier Sir Joh Bjelke-Peterson - where his son John will take us on a guided tour, including Lady Flo’s famous pumpkin scones for afternoon tea. We’ll stop off at Kingaroy’s Peanut Van on our way to Murgon to settle into our accommodation before dinner.

Day 2: Friday 18 November 2022

After breakfast, we visit the Queensland Dairy & Heritage Museum before heading to a scenic lunch at Moffatdale Ridge Winery. After lunch, we travel to Wondai to visit the South Burnett Timber IndustryMuseum. This display showcases the history of this region’s timber industry which underpins the early settlement of the area. We return to our accommodation to freshen up before dinner.

Day 3: Saturday 19 November 2022

After breakfast, we visit the Goomeri Emporium and The Country Way Museum. We continue onto Barambah Cellars for a wine tasting experience, before enjoying lunch at Dusty Hill Winery. Be sure to visit the Chef and Winemakers Pantry to purchase your local gourmet delights prior to our scenic drive home to Brisbane (arrive approx 5pm) and then onto the Sunshine Coast.
