The Overwater Bungalows are the only overwater bungalows in the Cook Islands and feature stylish tropical décor right on the edge of one of Earth’s most breathtaking lagoons. Guests staying here enjoy some of the world’s most superb lagoon views – uninterrupted panoramic vistas of stunning Aitutaki Lagoon, its endless turquoise dotted with tiny motu (islets) floating in the distance. The décor is distinctively Polynesian with walls lined in pandanus and bamboo as well as carved Cook Islands artifacts adorning the room, and comes complete with such comforts as wide-opening sliding doors onto the verandah, super king size bed, in room Wi-Fi access, satellite flat screen, and in-room safe.
Steps lead down to the lagoon from the Overwater Bungalow verandah allowing guests direct access to the lagoon waters below. After swimming guests can rinse off under the outdoor shower on the lower verandah deck, right by the water.
Flight between Rarotonga & Aitutki Baggage Allowance: Fully Flexible Fares include a single piece of checked-in baggage weighing up to a maximum of 23 kilograms, with the dimensions not exceeding 158 centimetres in linear measurement (Width+height+length). In addition, you are entitled to carry-on personal items such as laptops, cameras and baby’s needs totaling not more than 7 kilograms. In some cases our ground staff may need to ask you to store your cabin baggage in the aircraft hold before boarding.
Excess Baggage will be accepted for carriage on the same flight subject to space availability and payment of excess baggage charges: NZ$ 3.50 per additional kilogram.
Oversize Baggage and sporting equipment will be carried as space permits. The weight limit for a single piece is 32 kilograms and the maximum length is 2 metres. Excess baggage rates apply to oversized items.
Baggage Storage Air Rarotonga offers Baggage Storage to its customers at Rarotonga International Airport at affordable daily rates.
Connecting to and from your International Flight
Passengers arriving on international flights into Rarotonga International Airport need to clear immigration, pick up their baggage and sometimes go through customs. Your international flight could also be delayed and if you have not planned enough time for your connection, you could miss your onward flight. To avoid any inconvenience, Air Rarotonga has thus set minimum connection times between domestic and international flights.
