Thu 22 April 2027: enjoy the Island Life Tour. Spend the morning touring Norfolk Island and gain a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. Your guide will share the latest information on the island's ethnic groups, nationalities and languages spoken, including the Norfolk Island indigenous language. The tour will conclude with lunch at the Boatshed Restaurant at Governor’s Lodge Hotel. This evening, meet a local host at one of Norfolk’s great dining spots for a delicious 2- course dinner. The Bounty Bar & Grill, housed in an original island home dating back to the early 1900s, offers a fantastic pub-style menu paired with a warm and inviting ambiance. Your host will join you for group dinners during your stay and will be able to answer any questions you have about the island.

Fri 23 Apr 2027: morning at leisure. Later this afternoon make your way to the Norfolk Island RSL Memorial Club. The club offers a welcoming atmosphere steeped in the island's rich history and camaraderie. Originally established by returning servicemen after World War II, the club has grown from its humble beginnings in a passionfruit shed to become one of Burnt Pine’s significant social venues. Following the Kapyong Day Service, guests will enjoy some welcome nibbles accompanied by a complimentary beer or wine.

Sat 24 April 2027: morning is at leisure - you might like to spend some more time leisurely wandering around the Botanic Gardens or perhaps take a drive out to 100 Acres Reserve to have a walk out to the cliff edge and see where the seabirds nest. If you haven’t checked out the shops in Burnt Pine, then make sure you do that. Late this afternoon, all guests meet at the Norfolk Island Military Museum for a private guided tour. The museum proudly showcases a remarkable collection of memorabilia and artefacts, honouring the service of Norfolk Island men and women across all wars and conflicts since the Boer War. In addition to military history, the museum highlights the construction of the Norfolk Island Airport during World War II and includes a significant exhibit relating to the Pitcairn Settlement, offering further insight into the island's unique heritage. Following the tour, dinner will be enjoyed at the RSL Club.

Sun 25 April 2027 Lest We Forget: the Dawn Service on Norfolk Island holds a unique significance as one of the first ANZAC Day commemorations to take place each year in Australia, owing to the island's easterly location. Held on the shores of Emily Bay as the sun rises over the lagoon, the service offers a poignant and intimate setting for remembrance. The gentle lapping of waves and the silhouette of the island's own Lone Pine in the distance create a powerful atmosphere for reflection on the sacrifices made by service men and women, including the many Norfolk Islanders who have served in various conflicts. A Gunfire breakfast for veterans only will follow the service. Breakfast for non-veterans will be at Government House. Mid-morning veterans and family representatives assemble at the Officer’s Bath in Quality Row to commence the march to the Cenotaph for the mid-morning service. A traditional ANZAC Day lunch is held at Norfolk Island RSL, followed by a game of 2-up.

Mon 26 April 2027: come along on the Wars of Change tour which explains how the idyllic characteristics of Norfolk Island have been challenged and changed by the events of World War II. Your guide will explain the social impact when the major male component of the community joined the fighting forces and departed the island's shores for the duration of the war years. Have explained the equal impact of defence troops being posted to the island. Hear about the wartime construction of the Norfolk Island airport, the destruction of a mile-long avenue of mature island pines and the loss of island homes, all to make way for the airport project. Tour some sites of the war machinery. Hear about equipment emplacements, radar stations, tented accommodation for troops and water supply facilities. Following the tour, there will be a picnic lunch provided at Emily Bay (weather dependent). This evening, Governor’s Lodge will host a buffet dinner for all guests.

Tue 27 April 2027: the morning is at leisure today. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at one of Norfolk’s great cafes or use your rental vehicle to set out and explore. How about a swim? Splash in the crystal-clear waters of Emily Bay or don a snorkel and seek out some of the amazing marine life that lives in the bay. Don’t want to get wet? What about visiting one of our fabulous museums or taking a stroll through the picturesque cemetery to look at the resting place of some of Norfolk’s convicts? A Norfolk Fish Fry is a must-do on any trip, and tonight all guests will make their way to Orn dar Cliff to watch the sun set and enjoy a feast of local dishes, salads, and homemade coconut bread, all topped off with mouth-watering fried fish that will leave you wanting more. After your feast, sit back and relax as the Baunti Byuutis dancing group takes the stage to entertain you with their captivating local performances. Wine and beer are available for purchase, or you can bring your own drinks to enjoy with the delicious food and entertainment.

Wed 28 April 2027: sadly, the week has come to an end, and you will be transferred to Norfolk Island Airport today as it’s time to say goodbye to Norfolk.
