  • Day 1 - Arrive Hobart:

    Prepare for a journey of discovery, delving into cultural history and awe-inspiring natural wonders. Arrive in Tasmania's historic capital, Hobart, and be transferred to your hotel. Afterwards, enjoy your selected Freedom of Choice activity. Tonight, delight in a welcome dinner and drink.

    Freedom of Choice - Mawson's Hut Tour

    You may choose to tour the Mawson's Hut replica, gaining an insight into the importance of this Antarctic Hut and how its occupants used to live.

    Freedom of Choice - Hobart Convict Penitentiary

    This afternoon, you might like to explore the Hobart Convict Penitentiary and discover its courtrooms, subterranean tunnels, cells and the prison exercise yard on a guided tour

    Take in the views of Hobart's waterfront and be tempted by house-made sweets, sandwiches and freshly made scones accompanied by freshly brewed coffee or loose-leaf tea.

  • Day 2 - Russell Falls, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Strahan:

    Discover the magic of Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park today, then continue to the World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, before travelling via the mining town of Queenstown to Strahan. Tonight, savour dinner at View 42° Restaurant & Bar.

  • Day 3 - Strahan, Gordon River:

    From the comfort of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck, glide across Macquarie Harbour and enter the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Stop at Heritage Landing, for a guided rainforest walk. Back on board, you’ll be treated to a delicious lunch of fresh Tasmanian produce before arriving at Tasmania’s World Heritage-listed Sarah Island. Here you’ll get a chilling insight into the cruelties of convict life as you explore the ruins of what was once a convict settlement. Cruise past Hells Gates then return to Strahan.

    Board the luxurious Spirit of the Wild for a cruise along the secluded wilderness highway, the Gordon River. From the comfort of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck, glide across Macquarie Harbour and enter the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

  • Day 4 - Strahan, Cradle Mountain:

    Travel from Strahan to the incredible Cradle Mountain. Then, enjoy your exciting Freedom of Choice experience.

  • Day 5 - Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake:

    This morning, delight in your Signature Experience with a guided tour of Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park. Later, enjoy a visit to the unique Tasmanian conservation sanctuary, Devils @ Cradle, home to Tasmanian devils, and spotted-tail and eastern quolls. While here, a keeper will walk you through the sanctuary, providing an insight into the importance of the sanctuary's conservation programs.

    Signature Experience - Guided Dove Lake Tour

    Explore beautiful Dove Lake and its surrounds with a friendly local guide, admiring the unique wilderness of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.

  • Day 6 - Cradle Mountain, Sheffield, Deloraine, Launceston:

    Today, travel from Cradle Mountain and stop in Sheffield. Then, relish a winter truffle Signature Experience at a truffle farm. Later, enjoy a historic tour of Franklin House. Built by convicts in 1838, the house was later occupied by one of the colony’s leading private schools.

    Signature Experience – Truffle Farm Visit

    Visit Australia's first black truffle farm for a group demonstration of dogs actively truffle hunting in the plantation. Afterwards, enjoy some truffle pizza or a truffle toastie in a charming rustic shed. You may like to sample some truffle ice cream for dessert.

  • Day 7 - Launceston:

    This morning embark on a guided tour of Beaconsfield Mine, before indulging in a delightful Signature Experience in a beautiful setting at Josef Chromy Wines. The remainder of the afternoon will be enjoyed at your leisure.

    Visit Josef Chromy Wines, a winery that prides itself on celebrating Tasmanian grapes. Here you’ll be treated to a specially prepared lunch and have the chance to sample some of the winery’s finest drops.

  • Day 8 - Launceston, Bridestowe Lavender Estate, Coles Bay:

    After visiting Bridestowe Lavender Estate, traverse Weldborough Pass and admire the views of forested hills and farmland en route to Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's stunning east coast. This evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Dinner will be served at your lodge.

    Signature Experience - Bridestowe Lavender Estate

    Discover the largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere, renowned for its stunning lavender fields. Enjoy a tour of the distillery and savour distinctive lavender-infused delicacies.

  • Day 9 - Coles Bay, Freycinet National Park:

    After breakfast, visit Freycinet National Park Visitor Centre. Then soak in more stunning coastal scenery during a guided tour along Cape Tourville before returning to Bicheno for your Signature Experience.

    Signature Experience - Waubs Harbour Distillery Tour and Whisky Tasting

    Experience a full distillery tour and whisky tasting at Waubs Harbour. Located on the rocky shores of Bicheno, on Tasmania's east coast, the distillery was formerly an oyster hatchery. With five salt-soaked bond rooms and a cooling system powered by the ocean, the facility is a blend of tradition and innovation.

  • Day 10 - Bicheno, Ross, Richmond, Hobart:

    Visit the historic towns of Ross and Richmond on your way to Hobart. After arriving in the Tasmanian capital, embark on a guided discovery of the city, which takes you through the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and the heritage district of Battery Point.

  • Day 11 - Hobart, Port Arthur:

    Today, explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, Australia’s most intact, evocative and notorious convict prison, on a guided tour. See the famous sandstone Penitentiary, then visit the Convict Church and the Separate Prison. You'll then embark on a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and hear haunting stories about the convicts who were transported here from across the world and eventually buried at Port Arthur. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Mures Upper Deck.

  • Day 12 - Depart Hobart:

    This morning, stroll through the Salamanca Market and peruse the treasures of Tasmania at more than 300 stalls. Wander through the array of goods from hand-crafted jewellery and carved wooden trinkets to tantalising Tasmanian gin. Afterwards, bid a fond farewell to the Apple Isle. We say goodbye before we transfer you to the airport for your flight.
