Leading gardening experts and well known personalities such as Graham Ross and Jamie Durie will join this special seven-night voyage to share their latest knowledge and garden trends with guests during informative talks, exciting shore excursions and intimate dinners.

Queen Elizabeth’s renowned entertainment program will have a green twist with guests having the opportunity to take part in a range of on board activities and hands-on workshops like gardening trivia, special craft classes and lessons in cooking from their gardens.

Visiting the popular ports of Adelaide, Hobart and Port Arthur guests will be able to join bespoke shore tours taking in beautiful gardens in each city amongst other local activities and sight-seeing options. 

Themed shore excursions allow you to immerse yourself even further in the gardening theme. In a very special experience for a limited number of guests on the sailing, Angus will also host a shore excursion from Hobart to visit Longley Organic Farm for a guided tour to learn the ins and outs of organic farming in Tasmania. The group will also visit the sustainable Inverawe Native Gardens, where Australian flora and fauna abound and align with Angus’ knowledge and passion when it comes to native plants. The Port Arthur Lavender Farm, enjoy a sensory experience at the Port Arthur Lavender Farm visitor centre and immerse yourself in the wonderful, natural fragrances of 18 acres of lavender fields, overlooking Long Bay

Much loved Australian TV chef and author, ‘Fast’ Ed Halmagyi will join the already stellar line up of experts on our seven-night Australian Gardening Journey. Ed will host lively and informative workshops and demonstrations about how to cook from your garden, giving true meaning to the ‘patch to plate’ cooking concept, sharing recipes and tips on how to maximise home produce crops to create rewarding meals for family and friends.

Graham Ross

Perhaps Australia’s best known gardener, Graham’s career as a horticulturalist, radio broadcaster, television gardening presenter and author has spanned more than 50 years. Graham is Australia’s most acclaimed horticulturalist, with many awards including the prestigious London Royal Horticultural Society's Veitch Memorial Medal (VMM) in recognition of his contribution to gardening and horticulture in Australia.

An award winning international designer, author of 12 books, internationally recognised TV presenter with over 2 decades of design experience, and a lifetime environmental empath. Jamie has received over 38 national and international design awards, one of which was the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2013 for services to Australian design and the environment.

Angus Stewart

An award winning horticulturist, Angus is renowned for his work in breeding new varieties of Australian native plants and is a regular presenter on a range of popular radio and television gardening shows.

Sarah Hamilton

A horticulturalist, Sarah has specialised in native stingless bee keeping for more than six years and is a passionate advocate for the important pollination role that bees play in the environment. 

Steve Falcioni

A qualified horticulturalist, Steve is well known as a writer, public speaker and radio guest on gardening issues and is an advocate for organic gardening.

Julia Zaetta

A major force in Australian publishing as previous editor-in-chief of Australia’s number one home magazine, Better Homes and Gardens. She has established herself at the forefront of the industry and is now regarded as one of the most successful and longest-serving editors in Australian publishing history.

It is a tranquil escape from the city, and ideal for a romantic stroll or some quiet reflection.

No call at Port Arthur is complete without visiting its once-feared and ever-infamous prison colony, a UNESCO historical site. Explore the fascinating ruins, once booming dockyard and restored houses.

After a spell in prison, you might like to visit the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park, where you’ll get to meet some notoriously bad-tempered and increasingly rare marsupials.

What can I expect when I join the ship?

Your Cunard experience starts the moment you arrive at your embarkation port, with porters waiting to collect your luggage before you head off to check in.

After check in you will board one of our magnificent ocean liners to be greeted by members of the ship’s company and experience the stunning view of the Grand Lobby before you.

You’ll then be shown to your luxurious stateroom where you can freshen up and meet your stateroom steward. They are there to ensure every detail of your stay on board is taken care of.

Once you’ve unpacked you’re free to explore the ship. Of course, if you’re a guest in one of our Queens Grill suites, your butler will be unpacking for you.

After a relaxed lunch you can head off to further explore the ship or return to your stateroom to unwind before sail away.

After a short safety drill, make your way up on deck to enjoy a glass of Champagne as your voyage to exciting destinations begins.

Is there a drying line in the bathroom of my cabin?

There is a retractable drying line in the shower of each cabin.

Are there self service laundry facilities on board?

There are self service launderettes on board which are complimentary with washing machines, washing powder (you may bring your own personal washing powder if you wish), tumble dryers and ironing facilities which are available from around 7.30am until 9pm (subject to change). Launderettes can be found in the following locations:

What type of plug sockets / voltage are used on board ?

Both UK 3 pin and US 2 pin sockets are used on board. You will find a three pin socket next to a two pin socket. The standard electrical supply in the United Kingdom is 50Hz (cycles) and 240V. The supply on board all the ship's are 220V / 110V / 60Hz.

How many Gala nights will there be?

As a guide, there are approximately two or three Gala nights per week. Details can be found on your Voyage Personaliser. The evening dress code will be specified in your ship's Daily Programme, which is delivered to your stateroom each day.
