Spend your afternoon at leisure - stroll through lush tropical gardens, take a refreshing swim, or simply relax and soak in the serene surroundings. Watch for graceful dik-diks wandering nearby, and if the skies are clear, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising majestically in the distance. This is East Africa at its finest - wild, welcoming, and full of promise.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire - Karatu

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famed for towering baobabs and large elephant herds. Covering over 2,600 km², it ranks among Tanzania’s five largest national parks. The park’s landscapes and wildlife are especially vibrant in late summer and autumn, when animals gather in great numbers around the life-giving Tarangire River. Enjoy your first game drive amidst its scenic landscapes, followed by lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge. Continue to Karatu, the gateway to Ngorongoro Crater, known for coffee farms and cultural richness. Check in at Bashay Rift Lodge and enjoy dinner overlooking the highlands.

Ngorongoro’s scenery is as breathtaking as its wildlife. Thick forests line the crater rim, while below, a patchwork of plains, lakes, and swamps stretches into the distance. Together, they create one of Africa’s most iconic safari settings. Expect close encounters with Africa’s most iconic animals - lions, leopards, hyenas, and possibly even the elusive black rhino. Herds of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and hippos also roam freely here. Enjoy lunch in a scenic crater location before returning to Bashay Rift Lodge for a relaxing evening and dinner with views over the Rift Valley.

Overnight: Bashay Rift Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Ngorongoro - Serengeti

Begin the day with an early departure to the Serengeti National Park - a wildlife haven spanning over 14,000 km², renowned for hosting the world’s highest concentration of big cats, including cheetahs, lions, and leopards. En route, visit Olduvai Gorge and its museum to explore early human history. Head north to Ronjo Camp for an enjoyable lunch in this blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. After lunch, travel onward to the central Serengeti, where the Togoro Plains Camp awaits — a haven set amid vast open plains that stretch as far as the eye can see. Here, you’ll unwind and soak in the timeless beauty of the Serengeti for the night.. Relax in the evening and savour dinner under the vast Serengeti skies.

Overnight: Togoro Plains Camp or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Serengeti

A full day of safari adventures! Morning game drives are perfect for spotting predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as they are most active in the cooler morning hours hunting or resting after a night's hunt. You will also witness herds of herbivores such as wildebeest and zebras on the move, along with other active wildlife and a wide variety of birds. This time of day is ideal for spotting nocturnal animals just as they are returning to their dens. Return to camp for a leisurely afternoon to relax, enjoy the landscape, or take optional activities.

Overnight: Togoro Plains Camp or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Serengeti - Grumeti

Start early with a morning game drive across the Serengeti’s golden plains. View the wilderness stirring to life - lions basking in the golden light and herds of elephant moving gracefully across the savannah. Journey north into the Grumeti Controlled Area, witnessing abundant wildlife en route. Upon arrival at Grumeti Hills, enjoy lunch and leisure time by the pool. Afternoon game drives are available for those eager for more wildlife encounters. Dinner is served amid the sounds of the wild.

Overnight: Grumeti Hills or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7: Grumeti Hills

Begin the day with an early morning bush walk, led by an English-speaking guide and armed ranger. On foot, you'll experience the wilderness from a whole new perspective - spotting hidden plants, animal tracks, and smaller creatures often missed on a traditional game drive. After about 90 minutes, you’ll be welcomed with a bush breakfast along the scenic banks of the Grumeti River. Back at the lodge, enjoy a short rest and lunch. The afternoon is yours at leisure: book an optional afternoon game drive, take a dip in the pool, or indulge in an optional spa treatment.
