This morning, you will be transferred from Grumeti hills to Isebania Border and than picked up from the Isebania border and transferred to your camp/lodge, enjoying a game drive en route. Spend the afternoon exploring the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, often referred to as the 7th Wonder of the World. This remarkable ecosystem is home to the famed Big Five — lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant — as well as the dramatic wildebeest migration from Tanzania’s Serengeti. What looks like trees on the horizon may turn out to be a tower of giraffes, a cluster of bushes could be a pride of lions, and a moving boulder might just be a rhino crossing your path. The Mara is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 570 recorded species including eagles, vultures, and storks. With more than 450 species of animals, the reserve offers exceptional game-viewing opportunities. Today is dedicated to gorilla tracking, an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. After an early breakfast, you will depart for the park headquarters for a briefing and gorilla family allocation. The trek can be physically demanding, with varying terrain including dense forest and steep slopes. Sturdy hiking boots, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Porters can be hired to assist during the trek. Once your gorilla group is located, enjoy one hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Experienced guides ensure safety while providing insights into gorilla behavior and conservation efforts.
