On this adventure you'll revisit many of the iconic locations involved in the infamous "Mutiny on the Bounty" in 1789, not to mention a great variety of South Pacific "must sees".
A guest lecturer will bring history to life, telling the story of this famous seafaring saga. You’ll travel past Nomuka Island where Bligh visited the day before the Mutiny occurred. You will also cruise past Tofua Island where Bligh and his loyalists landed.
And for the non-history buffs? There will be beaches to lie on, islands to explore, and plenty of shopping to enjoy!
You can’t beat value for money with main meals, entertainment, stunning destinations and onboard activities – all included in the one low fare.
Day 1 - Departs Sydney 4:00pm
Day 2 and 3 - At sea
Day 4 - Norfolk Island (Tender required)
Your ship will anchor offshore and the ships tender boats will provide a regular service to and from Norfolk island throughout the day. Morning tours will depart from the wharf and return you into town. Afternoon tours will depart from town and return to the wharf. Norfolk Island offers a unique historical experience with museums housed in buildings constructed by convicts. Visit the fascinating House Museum, restored to its 1844 state and marvel at artefacts from HMAS Sirius (flagship of the First Fleet) wrecked on the reef. Explore the historic township of Kingston, founded by Norfolk’s first settlers; or look around the island’s largest settlement and main commercial centre, Burnt Pine. Shop in the duty-free stores or relax in a café.
Days 5 and 6 - At sea
Day 7 - Nuku'alofa, Tonga
Nuku'alofa, which translates to 'home of love', is the capital of the Kingdom of Tonga. A must do would be to take in the natural wonders, a cultural performance, local history and a traditional ‘Umu’ style lunch on a shore excursion tour visiting beautiful Oholei Beach and the fascinating rock formations of Hina Cave.
Day 8 - Vava'u, Tonga
Your ship will anchor offshore and tenders will provide a regular service to and from Vava’u throughout the day. See Tonga’s only botanical garden on our Polynesian Cultural Tour and Swim. Ene’io Botanical Garden offers visions of incomparable natural beauty and is only minutes from one of the most awe-inspiring beaches on the Vava’u mainland. After exploring the gardens, enjoy a swim and relax on the beach with a cool drink from the Beach Bar.
Day 9 - Mutiny on the Bounty (Scenic Cruising Port)
Many of these small islands and islets are uninhabited. They are literally just drops of sand in the ocean. We won’t be landing here, but thought you might like to take a closer look, so we’ve arranged to anchor just offshore. Enjoy some time contemplating the quiet and tranquility, and marvelling at the sights.
Day 10 - Dravuni Island, Fiji
A perfect example of timelessness, Dravuni Island is a Pacific island virtually unchanged for thousands of years.
Day 11 - Lautoka, Fiji
If you think about Fiji and picture an island oasis, you’d be right on the money. Picture hammocks swaying in the breeze, friendly, vibrant local culture and people, interesting villages and wild jungle that ends where bright beach begins.
Day 12 to 15- At sea
