Day 1: Sunday

Depart on the Tilt Train rail journey to Central Queensland and the Great Southern Barrier Reef. Upon arrival in Rockhampton, you will be met by our local driver / guide and transferred by coach for the 45 minute drive to your accommodation at Bayview Tower Yeppoon. On arrival, enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine and a cheese plate on your balcony while listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean and local wildlife.

Day 2: Monday

After a tasty breakfast, enjoy a leisurely tour of the Capricorn Coast, taking in sights of Bluff Rock and the beauty of Causeway Lake. We will visit the Singing Ship — it really sings! From this picturesque vantage point, we will wander down to the stunning tribute and impressive artworks at Emu Park War Memorial. Morning tea will be served at a local café. Dinner tonight will be served in-house at the hotel. Included Meals: Breakfast, Morning tea & Dinner 

Day 3: Tuesday

After breakfast, depart from reception to visit Capricorn Caves in Rockhampton. Experience Queensland's oldest playground - 400 million years in the making. This family-owned attraction, located 23 km north of Rockhampton, is home to abundant native wildlife and endangered species. Included is the 45-minute Cathedral Cave Tour, showcasing the largest and most spectacular caves. The tour provides lasting memories of ancient geological history, early explorers, the wonders of wildlife, and special cave acoustics. Experienced local guides deliver captivating stories of this ancient Australian landscape on small-scale interpretive tours. Enclosed shoes are recommended. Lunch will be at The Caves Country Pub. Tonight, enjoy a 3-course meal and show at Footlights Theatre & Restaurant. Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner 

Day 4: Wednesday

After a hot breakfast, explore the rich architectural heritage of Rockhampton, including The Walter Reid Building, Customs House, City Hall, and Archer Park Rail Station, where statues talk and sing. We then continue with a history lesson en route to Rockhampton Heritage Village. One of the most popular stops for visitors to Central Queensland, the Village allows you to step back in time and marvel at original and reproduction buildings, as well as memorabilia and artifacts portraying life in the region from the 1850s to the 1950s. Set on 11.4 hectares of bushland, the Village incorporates a charming township from yesteryear with original and recreated homesteads, buildings, and businesses. The Village authentically captures a generous slice of an earlier generation’s way of life. Experience life before electricity through tours of many homesteads, view vintage cars, tractors, fire engines, and horse-drawn vehicles and wagons, watch a 1950s print press in action, visit the Blacksmith Shop, and observe traditional skills from a bygone era. Lunch today is at your own expense. Dinner tonight will be served in-house at the hotel. Included Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 

Day 5: Thursday

After breakfast, head north to Byfield National Park to discover the rare Byfield Fern, which only grows in this area. The rugged mountains, rainforest-edged creeks, and ancient cycads are not to be missed. Next, experience the natural beauty of Waterpark Farm aboard the electric-powered vessel “Water Dance”, drifting along Waterpark Creek through the Byfield Rainforest. Observe stunning native fauna and flora, including the Byfield Fern, Azure Kingfisher, Water Dragons, and Krefft’s River Turtle. Learn about the history of the area and its land. Late afternoon we meet at the Bayview Tower Restaurant for drinks (at own expense) and light entertainment with Ken followed by dinner. Included Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 

Day 6: Friday

A light continental breakfast will be served before the transfer back to Rockhampton Station to catch the Tilt Train home. Included Meals: Breakfast

** Concession Card Holder Discounts & Entitlements **

The following Concession Card holders are eligible to four (4) rail entitlements each calendar year to travel on long-distance services across Queensland.

• Queensland Pensioner Card (PCC) issued by Services Australia or Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
• Australian Government DVA Health Card endorsed as WAR WIDOW / WIDOWER (Queensland residents only)
• Spouse / Partner of a Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) or Extreme Disability Adjustment (EDA) Veteran travel pass holder with a confirmation letter stating they are a Queensland resident.

Note: eligible passengers must have a valid physical or digital Concession Card or letter at the time of ticketing and during travel. A non-refundable administration fee of $25 applies per entitlement utilised.

Bayview Tower Yeppoon offers comfortable accommodation with modest facilities, and has a long standing reputation for exceptional, caring service. Here, guests can relax, enjoy and unwind in a boutique environment. Units are individually owned, and decor will vary across rooms allocated to all members of the group. All rooms are spacious and comfortable and offer air-conditioning and island views from a private balcony.

• This is a non smoking building. Smoking is only permitted off premises across the street of the building.

• Queensland Rail Track Maintenance: Queensland Rail periodically conducts planned and unplanned track maintenance throughout the network. Trackwork and disruptions are beyond Travel at 60's control, however we will endeavour to advise you of the situation as soon as possible with alternative travel options.
• Business Class Seating: seat allocations are automated by Queensland Rail Travel.
