This dedicated over-60s holiday is timed especially around Bounty Day, when you'll have the chance to join the tight-knit Norfolk Islander community. Watch the Bounty Mutineer descendants as they re-enact the landing of their forbearers. The landing takes place at the Kingston Pier, the oldest pier in the Southern Hemisphere. You can follow the procession of the Bounty Mutineers descendants who will be dressed in period costume to the Cenotaph to pay respects to fallen heroes.

T​his eight-day adventure also includes a comprehensive itinerary of tours and experiences — including a ghost tour lantern walk, Colleen McCullough's home, and the famous "progressive dinner", where you can dine course-by-course across a series of family homes.

Day 1 - Thursday 06 June 2024 – Depart Brisbane – Norfolk Island

Flights depart from Brisbane International Airport. Arriving onto Norfolk Island, your group transfer will take you to your accommodation for the next 7 nights.

G​rosvenor's Lodge - in a One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony including breakfast daily.

This evening, enjoy a group dinner at Grosvenor’s Lodge.

Day 2 - Friday 07 June 2024 – Island Life Tour

S​pend a delightful day touring Norfolk Island, gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life.

T​our includes morning tea and lunch with drink.

T​his evening enjoy a 3 course progressive dinner - visiting different Norfolk Island family homes. A fun night and a great way of meeting locals and sampling island dishes.

Day 3 - Saturday 08 June 2024 – Pitcairn Settlers Village, Cyclorama & Ghost Tour

Experience the history of the Pitcairn Island Settlers. Your guide will take you through the gracious original Bailey homestead and gardens before a stroll through the barn, dairy and out-buildings. Wander the Museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest including the oldest working forge in the Pacific. After that there’s an Ex New Zealand Army hut, with war-time memorabilia. And finally, there’s an exclusive film of Norfolk Island interest.

This is an amazing 360° panoramic painting. A unique way to experience the history of the Bounty adventures and discover how the world’s most famous mutiny created the Pitcairn and Norfolk communities.

This afternoon partake in the Bailey’s Tea Party. Governor's Lodge invites you have a hilli (Norfolk for being very relaxed or a little lazy) and to join the long-established favourite of afternoon tea which has been re-imagined for Bailey’s Restaurant on Norfolk. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and spend the afternoon with friends as you partake in a selection of sweet and savoury delights and tea or coffee. Enjoy a mouth-watering array of tasty treats, including the traditional favourites like mini-scones and finger sandwiches plus scrumptious hot and cold savouries and delicious delicacies.

T​his evening, a night of thrills, chills and spine-tingling fun! Begin with a delicious dinner then grab your lantern and prepare for the spooky walk ahead. A fun Ghost Tour with Dinner & Lantern walk.

Day 4 - Sunday 09 June 2024 - Convict Settlement Tour

Free time this morning why not check out the Market’s an easy 10 min walk to town.

This afternoon take a journey with a local historian in the World Heritage Listed Convict Kingston area. This in-depth tour will cover the four settlements from the Polynesians to the Convict Settlements and finally the Bounty Mutineers. This tour includes a tour through the cemetery. The main focus is the Convict Kingston Settlements.

This evening enjoy a two course dinner at Hilli Restaurant & Wine Bar

Day 5 - Monday 10 June 2024 – Bounty Day

This morning you will watch the Bounty Mutineer descendants as they re-enact the landing of their forbearers. The landing takes place at the Kingston Pier, the oldest pier in the Southern Hemisphere. You can follow the procession of the Bounty Mutineers descendants who will be dressed in period costume to the Cenotaph to pay respects to fallen heroes. Hymns will be sung at The Cenotaph memorial. Then it’s onto the Cemetery where wreaths will be laid, local hymns and the Pitcairn anthem (Norfolk Island’s national anthem) will be sung. The Bounty Mutineer descendants will make their way to the All Saints Church for the judging of the best dressed families. You can observe the tradition of the children of the Bounty Mutineers descendants rolling down the Government House hill. Then it’s off to morning tea followed by a traditional island lunch. Before lunch the Norfolk grace will be sung. You will sample some traditional Norfolk wetls and enjoy complimentary red and white wine, orange juice, tea and coffee.

This evening, enjoy a relaxing 2-course dinner at Grosvenor’s Lodge.

Day 6 - Tuesday 11 June 2024 – Colleen McCullough Tour & Island Fish Fry

Explore Norfolk Island's geological marvels in all their natural beauty. These spectacular formations are a result from the island's volcanic creation, three million years ago. Sheer rugged cliffs, outcrops of basalt and volcanic residue are examined. Be expertly guided through the beauty and characteristics of the island's delightful native, endemic and introduced species of trees and shrubs, plants and palms, ferns, flowers and fruits.

Colleen McCullough, a world renowned author of 24 books called Norfolk home for almost 36 years. Your guide will expertly escort you through her magnificent home, viewing their magnificent collection of artefacts gathered from travels across the globe.

T​his evening, get ready for a night of delicious food, live music and stunning views on Norfolk Island. The Island Fish Fry is a must do event for everyone visiting the island.

Day 7 - Wednesday 12 June 2024 – Breakfast Bush Walk & Commandant’s Dinner & Show

Take your choice of a leisurely stroll through the lush Palm Glen Reserve. Or for the more energetic enjoy a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt. Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of the walks meet on the clifftop for a delicious breakfast barbecue.

Enjoy a welcome and introductory talk at Two Chimneys Winery prior to a Degustation Tasting including formal wine tasting from the Premium Wine Range accompanied with matching delights (a collection of Noelene’s Homemade Delicacies - which includes fresh produce from her Garden).

The Commandants’ Dinner & Show is a night of great entertainment, delectable food and loads of humour - not for the faint hearted! This factual yet fun dinner theatre is a great way to learn about Norfolk’s history.

Fitness to Travel: A reasonable level of fitness is required for some activities provided in this package, including embarking and disembarking of aircraft which may be by stairs on the tarmac. Other examples include (not limited to) embarking and disembarking coaches, vehicles, boats, jetty or beaches. It is your responsibility to advise any mobility constraints at time of booking.

Flight departs from the international terminal. It is recommended to arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure. Photographic ID such as an Australian Driver Licence or Proof of Age card, is required (including for children). Passports are not required when travelling from Australia but are recommended.

Norfolk Island has 4G coverage however at times you may not be able to use the Internet. Most accommodation properties have a “HotSpot” on their premises. HotSpots work similarly to wifi enabling access when you’re in wifi range. Additional HotSpots are located throughout town and at various places on the Island which will also provide you internet when in range. HotSpot cards are available from Norfolk Island Telecom and a variety of stores when you arrive on the Island.
