In Australia, the Christmas in July tradition gained traction thanks to Irish tourists who visited the Blue Mountains in 1980. Eager to capture the essence of a winter Christmas, they encouraged a local hotel owner to organize a Yulefest party. Since then, Australians have embraced Christmas in July with enthusiasm, celebrating with festive feasts featuring roast turkey and warm drinks like mead or hot chocolate, alongside traditional Christmas decorations and customs.

Enjoy a relaxing drive to Stanthorpe, stop along the way to enjoy the stunning scenery and sample the local produce. Check into the Vines Motel & Cottages and relax prior to dinner. Complimentary car parking (one car per room) is available during your stay. Tonight, meet your host and fellow group travellers for a Welcome Dinner with live entertainment at the Motel.

Today join your fellow travellers and explore the best of Stanthorpe. This morning visit the Christmas Tree Farm, where it is Christmas all year round. Explore the 20 acre farm and make sure to check out the boutique Christmas Shop boasting the most spectacular Christmas decor. Discover a myriad of products crafted from the humble apple at Sutton's Juice Factory, make sure to indulge for morning tea (own expense) in their famous apple pies.
In the afternoon visit Ballandean Estate Queensland's oldest family owned and operated winery. The estate is home to some of Australia's oldest Shiraz vines, and rarest wine varietals. Our winemaking practices combine the best of the old and the new. They have premium cool climate wines to suit all tastes, from rare and alternative varietals that excite, to elegant Shiraz and Chardonnay. Enjoy a wine tasting and grazing platter at the estate.
Finish off the afternoon with a stop at Granite Belt Brewery, the premier Stanthorpe brewery, crafting refreshing and tasty craft beers & ciders for a tasting.
