Day 1: Arrive to Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Explore Delhi
Begin your day with a drive alongside the magnificent Red Fort, taking in the awe-inspiring beauty of its red sandstone structure. Next, embark on a delightful rickshaw ride through the lively streets of Old Delhi, before proceeding to the renowned Jama Masjid. After lunch, fly to Amritsar, eagerly anticipating the adventure that lies ahead.
Day 3: Discover Amritsar
Today starts with a morning visit to the historically significant Jallianwala Bagh, a poignant public garden in Amritsar. Continue your exploration by visiting the remarkable Durgiana Temple, and in the afternoon, embark on a scenic drive to the Wagah border, to witness the enchanting ceremonial flag lowering ceremony.
Day 4: Travel to Shimla
Catch your morning train and enjoy the picturesque journey as you head towards Chandigarh. Continue by road to the hill station of Shimla, where you will take a walking tour to Mall Road, in the bustling heart of Shimla. Explore The Ridge, a spacious open space offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills, and marvel at the architectural beauty of Christ Church, a landmark of Shimla's colonial heritage.
Day 5: Shimla
Today begins with an enchanting toy train experience from Shimla to Kandaghat. After soaking in the mesmerising views, return to Shimla by car to enjoy a city tour visiting the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Explore the grandeur of this architectural gem and learn about its historical significance. Continue your exploration by visiting the Himachal State Museum. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage and vibrant artistry of the region as you discover the museum's fascinating exhibits.
Day 6: Travel to Delhi
After your memorable time in Shimla, it's time to transfer to Chandigarh station for your onward journey. Bid farewell to the charming hill station as you board your train bound for Delhi. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing landscapes. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore.
Day 7: Travel to Agra
Begin the day with a train journey to Agra, a city steeped in history and architectural marvels. On arrival explore Fatehpur Sikri. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases the grandeur of Mughal architecture. Proceed to Agra Fort, another iconic landmark with imposing red sandstone walls, encompassing palaces, gardens and many halls.
Day 8: Taj Mahal
Early morning start with a sunrise visit to the world-renowned Taj Mahal in Agra. Day 9: Explore Jaipur

Continue to explore New Delhi, starting with the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Day 11: Travel to Varanasi

Day 12: Varanasi

Day 13: Return to Delhi

Day 14-15: Depart Delhi
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Transfers: In the event that your flight departs outside of the majority group departure time, you will be transferred to the airport by a shared coach (not with other tour passengers). If you are on a shared coach transfer, you may have to walk for a few minutes to get to the coach.

Your accommodation has been selected for convenience of location, comfort or character, and can range from a business hotel in one city to a family-run guesthouse in a smaller town or a heritage-type hotel.
Physical Level 2: All our tours feature a physical rating to help you select the right holiday for you. To travel on any of our tours requires unaided mobility and the ability to stroll around the sights. Tour is rated 2 on the physical level scale. A reasonable level of fitness is required but it’s more about spending time on your feet rather than covering large distances. You’ll be getting on and off coaches and boats, walking around the sights and climbing some steps.
Passports: All Australian citizens require a full passport for all holidays and this should be valid for at least six months after the date of your scheduled return home date with 2 x blank facing pages. If you are not an Australian citizen, other regulations may apply therefore its important you check with the nearest embassy of the country you intend to visit.
