Day 1 - Welcome to Adelaide, South Australia

Be welcomed into your 5-star boutique, heritage listed hotel, perfectly located next to Rundle Mall and just a short walk to Adelaide’s Riverbank and entertainment precincts. It’s time to unwind in the hotel’s rooftop bar with a glass of sparkling wine as you meet your Journey Director and fellow travellers. You’ll then effortlessly explore the city in a zero-emission eco-caddy with your private guide, ending at Adelaide Central Market. Meet your expert host Cheryl, who’ll introduce the passionate market stall owners as you taste signature dishes throughout the market, enjoying an unforgettable four-course roaming dinner.

Day 2 - Adelaide – Barossa Valley

This morning enjoy a relaxing breakfast and some free time to explore Adelaide at your own pace before meeting your group and leaving the city for a taste of the countryside. On arrival at the picturesque Barossa Valley, you’ll visit Seppeltsfield winery for a private Village Discovery Tour. Experience an award-winning mix of wine, food, craft and design before dining at the homestead where Executive Events Chef Owen Andrews showcases mouth-watering plates celebrating local seasonal produce.

Stay - Novotel Barossa, Barossa Valley

Day 3 - Barossa Valley – Adelaide Hills

Take a moment in the morning to soak up the beauty of your surrounds as you relax with breakfast overlooking the glorious Jacob’s Creek vineyards. Then add some Maggie Beer flair to your cooking with a private demonstration in the very studio where Maggie and Simon filmed The Cook and the Chef. Graze through the many products at Maggie Beer’s farm shop, but be sure to save room for some relaxed long-table dining, as you head off for a delicious lunch at St Hugo’s in the atmospheric vine-draped courtyard.

As you depart the picturesque Barossa Valley, you will have the opportunity to support bushfire recovery by visiting renowned local producers in some of South Australia’s most beloved townships. Join us, in collaboration with the #EmptyEsky movement, and support some of our favourite local creators, with time to fill your esky at the decadent Melbas Chocolate factory, and time permitting, nearby Woodside Cheese Wrights and Chesterfield Whisky Firm. Next, head to Barristers Block Winery, to sample their delicious wines or pick up a tasty takeaway charcuterie board of cured meats or salmon pate for a picnic that evening. This family run winery lost 100% of its vineyards in the recent bushfires. Fortunately, their cellar was saved, and guests are invited to support their recovery by filling their eskies with goodies. Your last Bushfire Recovery stop in the region is the Lobethal Bierhaus, where you can take advantage of tastings, or take home your favourites brews. We then head to Manna by Haus in historic Hahndorf, the perfect place to unwind.

Day 4 - Adelaide Hills – McLaren Vale

Your culinary discovery through South Australia continues today as you indulge in tastings of blue cheese, chevre and camembert in the Fleurieu Peninsula. Visit a delectable cheese cellar that showcases handmade artisan flavours from local producers. Bidding farewell to the idyllic Adelaide Hills, our journey then takes us to the stunning landscape of McLaren Vale and the quirky d’Arenberg Cube. This building was inspired by the complexities and puzzles of winemaking, with each of the five levels carefully designed to entice and excite the senses. Here, you’ll be taken on a journey before arriving at the top floor for a tasting with 360-degree views of the vineyards and a delicious three-course lunch with wine at the stunning d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant. There will also be an opportunity, for those interested, to see the Salvador Dali exhibition. Our last stop will be at Gemtree, tasting their biodynamic wines - a simple way of farming in which the vines are planted, grafted and harvested according to the phases of the moon enhances the soil and the taste. Heading back to Adelaide this afternoon, your evening is all yours to explore or relax.

Day 5 - Adelaide attractions and farewell

This morning enjoy free time at your own leisure, then choose from an included guided walking tour through the cultural heart of North Terrace and its surrounds, or head out to the award-winning Cleland Wildlife Park to see animals in their natural environment. This includes some of the Kangaroo Island koalas who are recovering from the recent bushfires on the island. It’s then time for the group to come back together for a final lunch at 2KW Bar and Restaurant to say farewell to your newfound friends, before being transferred by private vehicle to the airport for your onward flight.
