Day 2 - Casablanca - Rabat
The city of Casablanca is a mixing pot of influences; the Moors, Moroccans and French have all played their part, making it a fascinating place to explore on our city tour. The minaret of the Hassan II Mosque is a particularly spectacular coastline landmark. There’s also the Corniche beachside area for lovely views of the sea. This afternoon we’ll head for Rabat, for a tour of the city. We’ll see the intricately decorated Mohammed V Mausoleum and the 12th-century Tour Hassan.

Day 3 - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez
We leave Rabat this morning for the Imperial City of Meknes. The sultan’s palace was said to rival Versailles, but since a powerful earthquake, only the Old Granaries and stables remain. As we explore them, you can imagine the grandeur of the rest of the complex. We continue past the Holy City of Moulay Idriss, a site of pilgrimage named after the great grandson of the prophet Muhammed. Later we proceed to the Roman city of Volubilis, a huge archaeological site renowned for its well-preserved mosaic floors. Even though only 25% has been uncovered so far, we’ll get a fascinating insight into Roman life in North Africa.
