Day 2 - Tivua

There will be a private car to pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the stunning Port Denarau for the cruise check-in. Luggage check-in is available from 8am – noon. Port Denarau has a wide range of retail outlets, bars and restaurants to browse around when done.

Finally, welcome aboard your Fijian getaway! The MV Reef Endeavour will set sail to Tivua Island. Explore the island’s vibrant coral gardens or the silken white sand beach at your leisure, splash around in the crystal-clear waters or learn about the clam-rearing cages. Or just relax in the shade of a palm tree with a good book – after all, it’s a holiday! The ship will anchor at a sand cay for you to enjoy your first Fijian sunset. The evening will see the captain join the guests for dinner and introduce the crew.

Day 3: Tivua, Brothers Island and Naviti Island

The morning will see travellers getting off at the idyllic Brothers Island – a mesmerising place with electric-blue waters perfect for a swim or snorkelling. After that, the ship will sail on to the ever-popular Naviti Resort while travellers sample an excellent lunch onboard. At Naviti, you can try your hand at stand-up paddling, exploring the island or snorkelling. The main attraction for the day will the visit to Gunu village where there will be a cultural ‘meke’ performance and a ‘lovo’ feast. Do remember to head back to the ship for the next day’s excitement, though.

Day 4: Yasawa Island and Sawa-i-Lau

This day will see travellers at Fiji’s world-famous Sawa-i-Lau limestone caves. Accessible via a small swim underwater, the cave lagoon is wondrous as it is huge. Regarded as the resting place of the ancient Fijian god Ulutini, these caves have been formed by continuous waves washing against the limestone walls for centuries. Adventurers can opt for a hike up the Mt Tamasua on Yasawa Island. The views are superb and the hike is worth it. There will be crab-races held in the evening and it’s a good bit of fun to wind down with.

Day 5: Yaqeta and Drawaqa

From Sawa-i-Lau, the MV Reef Endeavour will head towards the Yasawas and the tranquil island of Yaqeta. Here, you can ease off the previous day’s excitement with a walk on the beach and admire the craggy peaks of volcanic mountains in the distance. After Yaqeta and a good lunch on board, the ship will traverse the sea-channels to the island of Drawaqa, where the snorkelling is simply world-class – the coral reef’s fantastic colours and shoals of fishes will keep you enthralled. Plus, depending on the season, there might be even be manta rays! In the evening, do put on your dancing shoes for there will be a Music Quiz onboard.

Day 6: Denarau and Nuku-i-Mana

Passing Denarau to pick up a few more of your fellow passengers, visit the fabulous coral cay of Nuku-i-Mana. A patch of startling white sand amidst a sea of electric-blue, it is absolutely breathtaking. Swim, snorkel and relax under a shady palm tree.

Day 7 - Monuriki/ Monu Bay

Your cruise ship will set you on the tropical island of Monuriki, where Tom Hanks’ film Castaway was shot. Relax on the beach or snorkel your way around the island’s pristine coral reefs. There will be a kayak tour of the island and the locations where the film was shot, too. Afterwards, attend a village choral service specially for you. After the moving service, get back to the ship where the evening’s entertainment and dinner awaits you.

Day 8 - Sacred Islands & Waya

Set foot on the Sacred Islands – a place of Fijian reverence and magnificent vistas. Learn stories of the ‘Rogoboka’, watch the ship’s crew pay tribute and perform the sevusevu, a gifting ceremony. For a Monday, it’s absolutely magical!

Spend the day swimming, snorkelling, exploring the powdery white sand beach of the island or going for a glass-bottom boat tour – whatever strikes your fancy. Then, it’s back to the boat and lunch. Post meal, the Reef Endeavour will anchor at Waya island after passing through the Southern Yasawa islands. Among Fiji’s 333 islands, it counts amongst the top five when it comes to scenic beauty. Surrounded by electric-blue waters of the Pacific, Waya is a lush tropical paradise with swaying palm trees and jutting volcanic mountain peaks.

Your tour includes a visit to the local school, the adjoining village and the handicrafts market. If you’re looking to work those calves, just ask for a hike up the Waya mountain – the view from the top is simply surreal! Then, it’s back to the ship for a relaxed evening, a show and dinner.

Day 9 – Port Denarau

On your last day of the cruise, watch the islands disappear into the sunrise as the ship sails towards the Denarau marina. The ship will be at port by the time you’re done with breakfast. Disembark and Captain Cook Cruises will ensure you reach the overnight four-star resort comfortably. Relax, unwind and use our complimentary FJD 150 Denarau Credits to help you wine and dine the evening away.

Day 10: Check-out and flight back home

Meet our friendly meet-and-greet representative at check-out. He’ll ensure you have a comfortable private transfer to Nadi airport from the resort. Have a safe flight back home with fond memories of Fiji!
