Not Included
Day 1: Fly from Sydney to Norfolk’s international airport where you’ll be met by our friendly island representative – he’ll take you to the complimentary transfer service, which will take you to the resort. Check in, unwind with a hot shower and soak in the sights of Norfolk – your holiday has officially begun!
Days 2-5: Now, our holiday gives you three great tours of the island right off the bat. The first is a half-day introductory island tour, which is great for first-timers and a ‘refresher course’ for returning visitors. The tour goes through the main attractions of the island, what’s famous and worthy of checking out and so on. We recommend this tour as travellers can start forming a list of ‘things to do on this holiday’. Post this tour, you can use our complimentary car-hire to trundle around the island and go off on day-long adventures.
The second tour is a winner all the way. This is a visit to world-famous author Colleen McCullough’s home. This island and its views were the serene haven where this illustrious Australian author penned scores of her novels. The guided tour of her house also includes nice factoids and trivia about Colleen and her husband Ric, a sure-fire treat for all literature buffs.
The third tour takes travellers to the island’s Pitcairn Settlers’ village for a history-soaked afternoon. Your tour guide will take you through the original Bailey homestead, it's attached gardens, the barn dairy, and other outbuildings. The museum in the village is filled with memorabilia; and you’ll also visit the oldest working forge in the South Pacific there, too. Also included is a visit to an ex-New Zealand Army hut with wartime memorabilia.
Aside from above, there’s simply so much to see, do, eat and explore in Norfolk! From swimming in its’ crystal-clear seas, glass-bottom boat tours of the reefs, high tea luncheons at Forrester Court and so on. Want to know a couple of our favourites? Do get tickets to one of Norfolk’s longest-running hit historical plays ‘The Trial of the 15’ – it’s a searing performance and offers a glimpse into the island’s colourful and riotous history. Then, anglers and fishing enthusiasts can have a field-day with fishing charters – you’ll be reeling in yellow-fin tuna, mackerel, tope and more! If you want us to add on the above and more into your holiday, just reach out to us and we’ll customise it to your heart’s content! Then there’s Burnt Pine’s pubs and restaurants, Emily Beach and… there’s a lot and you’ll need the whole holiday to enjoy the sights and sounds of beautiful Norfolk.
Day 6: Check out, there will be the friendly drop-off to the airport for your flight home to Sydney.
