Today, you'll make your own way to River Heads to join the rest of the group for your ferry transfer (approx 1pm) to Kingfisher Bay Resort - your home for the next 2 nights.

M​id afternoon relax on a Sunset Cruise with light nibbles and a glass of bubbly prior to dinner at Wongari Deck.

This evening check out the all new light and sound spectacle, Illumina. Using the surrounding native environment as an artistic platform, Illumina’s extraordinary ‘Return to Sky’ light show presentation will explore the island’s story of discovery, regeneration, and growth. The show will captivate audiences with its ethereal beauty, casting vibrant hues and intricate patterns across the night sky, celebrating the movement, texture, and colour of K’gari as the narrative of the world’s largest sand island unfolds.

Today, breakfast is served from 6:30am. Departing (8:30am) after breakfast, you'll get to see the sights of Fraser Island on a half day 4WD Island tour.

Visit Lake Birrabeen, Central Station & Wanggoolba Creek and enjoy morning tea. On arrival back to the hotel relish the Kingfisher High Tea. This afternoon is yours to explore the island at your leisure.

This evening meet at Sterling Deck for a pre-dinner beverage prior to your festive themed seafood buffet in the Ballroom and you'll be able to celebrate with your travelling companions and new found friends.

Sadly your Fraser Island holiday comes to an end today. This morning, buffet breakfast will be served from 6:30am. After breakfast, you'll be transferred from Fraser Island to the mainland (approx 10:30am ferry), before making your own way home.

You are advised to arrive at the Mainland Reception River Heads to check-in 40 minutes prior to the ferry departure time. A courtesy shuttle from Mainland Reception to the jetty will leave 10 minutes prior to departure for our walk-on passengers. Self-drivers will be given further instruction by the Reception team.

Secure Car Parking - River Heads:

• Secure car parking for ONE VEHICLE per room is included in this package

The journey is approximately 3.5 hours' drive north of Brisbane City. Join the Bruce Highway and stay north on this route through Gympie, then take the Maryborough exit off the highway onto the Maryborough -  Hervey Bay Road.

H​ow to find the secure parking: Vehicles need to be checked in at the River Heads Property Sales office (3/54 Ariadne St, River Heads) in the River Heads Shopping Village just down from the IGA supermarket. Our office hours are 8:00am – 4 pm. The Kingfisher Bay office is just a short walk (20m) down the veranda from our office at the shopping centre, they will check you in if you are staying at the resort.

One of the advantages of travelling on a Travel at 60 dedicated group departure is that we have the ability to match solo travellers so that you can avoid paying the single supplement.
