DAY 1

Arrive at Delhi. You will be met and assisted by our representative who shall handover your

travel documents and transfer you to train station to complete the check-in formalities.

This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BC and has seen ups and downs

from the rule of the Pandavas right up to the British Raj. Delhi is not only the metropolis of

India but also the museum of its past. Because of its location on the banks of the river Yamuna,

many cities have risen and fallen here over the last five millennia; many dynasties ruled from

there and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments.

Our journey continues to Agra, perhaps the most famous city in the entire subcontinent, where

a succession of charismatic Mughal rulers contributed to a rich architectural legacy, creating an

ambience of grandeur and romance.... Agra, the home of the magical Taj Mahal!

After a relaxed lunch, enjoy the hotel facilities before you head out to explore the Agra Fort that

is strategically situated along a bend on the Yamuna River. Built by three generations of Mughal

emperors, it is a superb synthesis of stern military fortifications with delicate interior details.

Dinner will be served Onboard.

DAY 02 AGRA - SAWAI MADHOPUR - JAIPUR BY TRAIN

At sunrise experience the sublimity of the marvellous Taj Mahal– a varying kaleidoscope of

solitude, colours and mood. As you enter through an elaborate arched gateway you will see the

monument for the first time, the wonderfully symmetrical landscaped gardens leading your eye

to the intricately carved marble domes and towers. An extravagant memorial to Emperor Shah

Jahan’s beloved third wife, it took thousands of artisans over 20 years to construct and its

timeless beauty is a testament to their skill and vision. Breakfast will be served at an exclusive

venue in Agra.

Thereafter your train will be proceeding to Ranthambhore.

One can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as the train arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city

named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. A visit is arranged to the Ranthambore

National Park, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. This wildlife sanctuary is

considered to be the country’s best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger.

The park, covering an area of 392sq kms is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger,

hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population here. Sawai

Madhopur is known for its exclusive toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes.
