Welcome to Melbourne! Make your way to the Mercure Welcome Melbourne hotel, where check-in begins from 2pm. Take this day to explore the vibrant city of Melbourne at your leisure. Tonight, gather with your fellow quilting enthusiasts at the hotel's Louden restaurant for dinner, where you can share your excitement and anticipation for the days ahead.

Thursday 10 April 2025

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. It's day one of your three days at the Australiasian Quilt Convention attending various classes and exhibitions. Convention welcomes visitors from 10am to 4pm.

Enjoy your evening at your own pace, taking advantage of the central location of your hotel that offers easy access to various dining options in Melbourne.

Friday 11 April 2025

After breakfast at the hotel, embrace your second day of your three days at the Australasian Quilt Convention attending various classes and exhibitions.

Willing to share: One of the advantages of travelling on a dedicated group departure is that we have the ability to match solo travellers, so that you they can avoid paying the single supplement. Subject to availability of another traveller of the same gender willing to share. Please note you will have to be fully vaccinated against Covid19.

Getting to the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne - Melbourne's Free Tram Zone operates within the CBD and stops directly out the front of the Carlton Gardens. The closest tram stop within the Free Tram Stop zone is Stop 10 Nicholson St and Victoria Parade.

T​RAM - The Closest Tram route 86 or tram route 96 to Stop 11 Melbourne Museum, corner of Nicholson and Gertrude Streets
