Day 1 - Arrive Alice Springs

On arrival at Alice Springs Airport, make your own way to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 12.00 noon). Tour the iconic Alice Springs Telegraph Station, School of the Air, Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the Alice Springs Reptile Centre.

Day 2 - Alice Springs – Uluru – Kata Tjuta Sunset

This morning, travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges. Stop to view Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Enjoy a leisurely drive to Kata Tjuta to take in a magnificent outback sunset, while enjoying sparkling wine.

• Hotel: Outback Pioneer Hotel, Desert Gardens Hotel or Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort (2 nights)

Day 3 - Uluru Sunrise – Kata Tjuta – Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset – BBQ

Watch the sunrise at Uluru and then travel to Kata Tjuta and walk through Walpa Gorge. Later, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center and then tour the sacred sites around the base of Uluru. Continue to the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset before continuing to our exclusive barbecue venue, where you’ll dine from a delicious menu accompanied by a selection of beverages.

Day 4 - Uluru – Kings Canyon

Early this afternoon, travel through desert scenery on your way to Kings Canyon. On arrival, there may be time to view the sunset behind Carmichaels Crag.

• Hotel: Kings Canyon Resort (Standard Rooms) or Kings Canyon Resort (Deluxe Spa Rooms)

Day 5 - Kings Canyon - Depart Alice Springs

Make the rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed, a shady, easier walk. Your Short Break concludes back in Alice Springs.

As this Getaway concludes after 7:00pm, accommodation will need to be pre-booked for tonight.
