We have created the prefect package - including a night in Perth with breakfast prior to hitting the road, 11 days vehicle rental and a hosted tasting of 6 wines and Cheese board plus entry to Albany's Historic Whaling Station.

We have also provided a great suggested itinerary around the edge of the South West, through wine regions, towering karri forests and along the marine life-rich coast before returning to Perth across the desert.

Itinerary

The beauty of camper-van and motorhome rental is that the road is your oyster!

You can pick and choose where you want to go and what you what to see, however we have provided a suggested itinerary to ensure your get the most out of your 11 days rental!

Suggested Road-trip Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Perth to Bunbury - 176kms (2 hours 15mins)
  • Day 2: Bunbury to  Margaret River - 103kms (1 hour 20mins)
  • Day 3: Margaret River - Today enjoy enjoy a guided tasting at Voyager Estate, or explore the wines independently, with a self-guided journey using extensive tasting notes and finish off the tasting with a cheeseboard in the Wine Room.
  • Day 4: Margaret River to Pemberton - 133kms (1 hour 35mins) - The Southern Forests region is known for it's biodiversity with more than 2500 species of plants including over 100 terrestrial orchid species. Peak wildflower season in Pemberton is mid-September to late October, Northcliffe and Windy Harbour have a longer season from mid-September through to November.  Flowering plants can be found all year round.
  • Day 5: Pemberton to Demark - 185kms (2 hours 10mins)
  • Day 6: Denmark to Albany - 55kms (40mins) - Today visit the only complete whaling station tourism attraction in the world! Albany's Historic Whaling Station was the last operating station in Australia and provides a fascinating insight into Albany's colourful past. Recognised as a heritage site, the whaling station is an engaging and educational tourism attraction for all ages to enjoy. Join our knowledgeable tour guides on a complimentary tour through the restored whale processing factory. Find yourself immersed in the sights and sounds of the whaling industry. Enjoy short films within the converted whale oil tanks. Climb aboard the Cheynes IV, the world's only preserved Whalechaser ship; see our giant blue whale skeleton; enjoy our world-renowned marine animal art collection and view our precious scrimshaw art. Visit our museum exhibits filled with authentic, whaling artefacts and memorabilia or relax in our cafe overlooking one of

  • Day 7: Albany to Hopetoun - 333kms (3 hours 35mins)
  • Day 8: Hopetoun to Esperance - 182kms (2 hour 05mins)
  • Day 9: Esperance
  • Day 10: Esperance to Hyden - 382kms (3 hours 55mins)
  • Day 11: Hyden to Perth - 319kms (3 hours 35mins) - Today be sure to make a pit stop at Araluen Botanic Park, located only 45 minutes or so outside of the centre of Perth. This park offers its own tranquil botanic garden full of wildflowers, mixing both natural and developed beauty. The star attraction of September is It's Yates Springtime at Araluen, where visitors will be welcomed with Perth's biggest display of Tulips.

Common questions about this voyage

Do I have to pay a bond?
Yes a refundable Vehicle Security Deposit is payable at time of pickup based on selected liability option this will be $5,000.00. Please be aware a credit card must be used for the payment of the bond, Eftpos cards are not accepted. You can opt to reduce the bond amount by purchasing a liability reduction option at the time of pick up, which start from $25 per day, per vehicle.
What is supplied with the vehicle?
All vehicles are supplied with a kitchen kit and general equipment for your convenience. This includes cooking equipment and eating utensils, as well as pegs, a clothes line, fire extinguisher, bucket, hose, broom, dustpan and brush. Electrical appliances are supplied in vehicles that have 240V. Personal kits including sheets, blankets/duvets, pillows, pillowcases and bath towels are complimentary.
How long will it take to check out my vehicle?
Please allow at least 1 hour for vehicle pick-up. A Guest Service Officers (GSO) will take you through the Rental Agreement (RA) and show you through your vehicle.
