A few things to note re White Cliffs Underground Motel
Please note that due to soil preservation this motel does not have ensuite bathrooms, instead it has its private bathrooms situated in a common area. Each bathroom is private and lockable, its recommended to bring slippers and dressing gown as you may be passing others along the way.
White Cliffs is pretty laid back so casual attire is ok.

Day 1 - Monday - Arrival into Broken Hill
Make your own way to Broken Hill.
On arrival, you will be met by your Host and escorted to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Tuesday - City Sights, Heritage Tour and Sunset Sculptures
Enjoy a light breakfast at your hotel, before joining your hosts for today's sightseeing.
Take a step back in time and explore Australia's First Heritage Listed City on our Heritage Tour, showcasing Broken Hill's rich history. We’ll visit the Miner’s Memorial, located at the highest point of the Line of Lode. From there, you’ll be able to see the city’s unique architecture. Next, we’ll visit the Geo Centre, where you can see a 42kg silver nugget and learn about the importance of mining to the town. After that, we’ll take a break before heading to the famous Sculpture Symposium to watch the sunset.

Day 3 - Wednesday - Menindee & Kinchega National Park
This leisurely tour takes you around the Menindee Lakes scheme, with scenic stops along the way at Menindee and Kinchega National Park (roads permitting). The highlight of the trip is a wetlands cruise on the River Lady, where you'll get up close and personal with the abundant wildlife that calls this area home.

Day 4 -Thursday - Silverton Ghost Town & Taste of the Artback
After breakfast, we'll head off to Australia's liveliest ghost town. This is a must-see destination for any movie buff or history lover. You'll be able to explore craft centres, galleries, and museums, as well as the iconic Silverton Hotel, with time for a bite to eat (own expense). In the afternoon, we'll take a tour of some of the local art galleries. Broken Hill is famous for its vibrant art scene, and you'll be able to see firsthand what all the fuss is about. You'll be blown away by the talent and creativity on display here

Day 5 - Friday - Royal Flying Doctor Service, Gin Distillery & Palace Hotel
We start the day with a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, where we'll learn about the important workthey do in providing medical care to remote communities.Then it's onto the Broken Hill Gin Distillery for a tasting behind the scenes look at how the spirit is made.We'll finish up with a meal at the iconic Palace Hotel, made famous by the film Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and for those who are feeling lucky, you will have the chance to try your luck at a game of two-up, Broken Hill is the only place where you can play two-up legally on a regular basis.So, join the locals and come in spinner!!

Day 6- Saturday- Free Day
Enjoy a light breakfast at your hotel, Today you'll get the opportunity to explore this great part of Australia at your own pace. For a glimpse into what life was like for early miners guests can go underground in the historic Day Dream Mine. Explore the rocky escarpments, mineral-rich springs and Aboriginal rock art at the Mutawintji National Park, kick back with a round of golf or join the locals in a leisurely game of bowls.

Day 7 - Sunday- White Cliffs
Today, after breakfast, we head to Australia’s oldest commercial opal fields. See Australia’s first solar power station. You’ll visit Red Earth Opal Underground Mine Tour & Showroom, a chance to purchase opals direct from the source.

Day 8 - Monday - Broken Hill
After breakfast we make our way back to Broken Hill for the night.

Prior to departing on your adventure, you will be required to complete a Passenger Health Declaration. This form will ask whether you have recently been in close contact with someone diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19 or have a fever or flu-like symptoms yourself. If you answer yes to any of these questions, you will not be able to join the tour until you have been assessed and cleared by a doctor. The information in the form may be provided to relevant public health authorities and they may apply penalties to individuals who knowingly provide a false statement.
