Day 1: Amsterdam, Netherlands - Board Ship - Tour Begins
Your journey opens in Amsterdam, the 800-year-old capital of the Netherlands, where you will board your ship. Your home for the next 7 nights, this beautifully appointed vessel has all the modern amenities you could need, such as the newest technology, a panoramic deck, panorama bar, outstanding service, and delicious cuisine and wine with every dinner. Tonight, enjoy a cocktail overlooking the city skyline before you’re welcomed aboard with a lovely dinner and an engaging Dutch folklore show.
Day 2: Amsterdam
See Amsterdam the way it’s truly meant to be seen – by canal. On your private boat, cruise under sloping bridges and pass by quintessential Dutch houses. Then, it’s your choice! Explore the charming fishing town of Volendam for a guided stroll of its charming old village. Then head to the countryside to learn how Dutch cheese is made at a local cheese farm before sampling some of the delicious results! -OR- visit medieval Haarlem for a guided tour where you will learn more about its art, history and the Dutch lifestyle. A walking tour of the historic centre highlights the Cathedral of St. Bavo and Christian Muller’s iconic organ. Enjoy dinner back onboard as the ship cruises on.
Day 3: Arnhem
Arrive in Arnhem, the favourite summer retreat of the Dutch royal family. With a full day to explore, perhaps you’ll wander through one of the city’s many parks or delve into the local history at a WWII museum. In the morning, consider joining an optional tour to the Airborne Museum that was dedicated to the Battle of Arnhem. After lunch, you may opt for an afternoon visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum that holds the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. This evening, pass by lovely Dutch scenery as your journey continues.
Day 4: Middelburg
Spend time in Middelburg, the capital of the Dutch province of Zeeland. Walk through the twisting lanes and take in the city’s relaxed atmosphere on your own. See how the local trading legacy remains in the architecture, passing by timeless brick houses, a Gothic town hall, and medieval towers. Consider taking an optional excursion to the storm surge barrier and Flood Museum to learn about Netherland’s largest flood defence system.
Day 5: Bruges, Belgium
Say hello to Belgium this morning whilst you enjoy a scenic sail along Belgium waterways before your arrival in Bruges. Spend the afternoon in this fairytale city. Step back in time during a guided walking tour then board a scenic canal cruise featuring cosy town squares and medieval dwellings.
Day 6: Antwerp
Join a local expert in Antwerp for a city tour that explores its rich history and Gothic and Baroque architecture. Enjoy a free afternoon to prepare for the elegant Captain’s Gala Dinner, immediately followed by an evening of dancing.
Day 7: Kinderdijk, Netherlands - Utrecht - Keukenhof Gardens - Amsterdam
Stop in Kinderdijk a UNESCO World Heritage Site and village, to experience Holland’s iconic 18th-century windmills. Walk along the winding paths and venture inside one of these working windmills, seeing how the country’s heritage blends into modern day society. Then, explore the world famous Keukenhof Gardens, featuring acres of tranquil ponds, shaded paths, and more than 7 million tulips and other flowers on exhibit. Aboard the ship, toast to the end of your journey at a farewell dinner.
Day 8: Amsterdam - Disembark Ship - Tour Ends

Tour Fitness Level Recommendation - Level 3: You’re an on-the-go traveller. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (1-2 hours) isn’t a big deal. You can navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transport (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.), and could possibly anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure.
Motor Coach - All surfaces will be sanitised often, including regular cleaning of high-touch areas with disinfecting wipes. Hand sanitiser will be available at all times and drivers will wear protective gear.
Will I need a passport? Passports are needed when travelling outside of your home country. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your trip.
