Stay five nights in a luxurious four-star beachfront resort at Papeete, the capital of Tahiti. Just a 10-minute drive from the airport, the resort is located with great views of the Pacific Ocean. Your suite overlooks the resort’s landscaped gardens and has been tastefully designed to incorporate traditional Polynesian styling and touches with all modern amenities and facilities today’s traveller can expect.
Inside the premises, the resort offers travellers a massive infinity pool overlooking the lagoon, two restaurants and bars, a spa and convenient location to all of Papeete’s attractions.
Overview
DAY 1: Depart from Sydney/Brisbane to Auckland (ask for other cities), from where a connecting flight will see you landing in Papeete.
Once you’ve reached Papeete in Tahiti and Her Islands, a friendly Tahitian will greet you with flower leis and help you aboard the coach which will transfer you to the ocean-facing, four-star resort.
The resort’s spacious Garden Suite is a refreshing meld of modern amenities and traditional Polynesian styling, guaranteed to set your mood to ‘island unwind’ mode. Once you’ve settled in, walk down to the resort’s massive infinity pool overlooking the ocean and distant islands, order a tropical cocktail and start your holiday the right way!
The resort offers a choice of two fine-dining restaurants and two bars inside – we suggest a walk around the resort to admire the views and a quick dinner. The next day, hire a cab to explore the Papeete’s town centre, located just 20 minutes away from the resort. You can also rent a car from the Avis help-desk in the resort.
There are scores of activities and experiences to choose from and we can help suggest a few of our favourites. A half-day island tour would be the first. And it's complimentary!
Then, for the sprightly, we would recommend a relaxed jungle hike to the Fautaua Valley and the waterfalls. When out and about, do try the poisson cru – it’s local fish delicacy and a truly sublime meal.
Visiting the Arahoho Blowholes is a great option for a day tour, too. We can help you combine it with a visit to one of Papeete’s beaches and a snorkelling session amongst the vibrant underwater coral gardens to complete a fantastic day out and about.
Of course, the resort’s spa is always there for relaxing spa treatments and traditional massages – let us know and we’ll book you your choice in advance. You can check out the in-house souvenir shop for traditional Polynesian trinkets and gifts.
