Day 2: City Sights And Salamanca Market

Day 3: Hobart - Strahan

Today's journey is a stunning contrast of landscapes, offering moments of tranquillity and awe-inspiring beauty. Breathe deeply as you wander through the lush forest of Mt. Field National Park, where the cascading tiers of Russell Falls create a misty, dreamlike setting. Find peace at the reflective waters of Lake St. Clair, Australia’s deepest natural lake. Travel through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park before arriving in Strahan, a serene coastal town on the island’s wild West Coast. Here, take in the vast expanse of Macquarie Harbour - an incredible seven times larger than Sydney Harbour.

Day 4: Strahan - Cradle Mountain

A cruise day is always a great day, especially when you drift across the glassy waters of Tasmania’s secluded Gordon River, surrounded by ancient, towering rainforests. Glide through this untouched wilderness, soaking up the tranquillity as you journey toward Sarah Island, Tasmania’s oldest convict settlement. Once a place of hardship, its haunting ruins have now been overtaken by nature, draped in forest and winding vines. Later, continue your adventure toward the vast Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, passing through tiny mining towns nestled in rugged, mountainous terrain. Take time to unwind - tomorrow, Cradle Mountain’s breathtaking landscapes await.

Day 5: Cradle Mountain Sightseeing

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking wilderness of Cradle Mountain, a jewel of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The afternoon is yours; explore the Beaconsfield Mine, discover marine wonders at Seahorse World, cruise the Tamar Valley (at your own expense), or stay local and immerse yourself in Launceston’s stunning heritage architecture. Day 8: Launceston - Bicheno

Before you even step foot onto Bridestowe Estate, its soothing lavender aromas will greet you. This picturesque farm offers indulgent flavours - from lavender-infused ice cream to golden honey harvested by half a million bees that thrive among the vibrant floral fields. Next, visit the Legerwood Carved Memorial Trees, an awe-inspiring tribute to fallen WWI soldiers, where intricate sculptures bring history to life. Spend the day as you wish - perhaps embark on a Bruny Island Cruise to see playful fur seals and towering sea cliffs or take to the skies for a scenic flight over the wild Southwest. Take a walking tour through the city’s historic streets, explore the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery (at your own expense), or simply unwind. Fitness Requirements

• A medium level of fitness is required.
• The Russell Falls Walk is an easy, flat 1.4 km unsealed trail taking approximately 25 minutes return.
• For those choosing to walk around Dove Lake, this is considered a Moderate 6km loop. The track has short, steep hill sections, some rough surface, and many steps. Not suitable for all guests. Alternate shorter walks are available, which your Tour Director will advise.
• The Cataract Gorge circuit is a short, easy walk; however, there are some steps and uneven surfaces.
• Port Arthur has steps up to some of the buildings and uneven surfaces; however, the majority is on a sealed path.
