Friday 15 September 2023 - Brisbane - Toowoomba

Arriving at the top of the Range the beautiful floral displays unfold. Visit Queens Park with its beautiful camphor laurel lined avenue, stunning floral beds and wide open spaces. Visit Cobb and Co Museum for a guided tour and lunch before continuing on to discover some of the many prize winning gardens. Check in late afternoon before dining out tonight at a local restaurant.

S​aturday 16 September 2023 - Toowoomba Parade Day

Start the day with a hearty breakfast prior to making our way to our vantage point for the Grand Floral Parade which promises to deliver a spectacular line up of fresh floral floats, street performers, stilt walkers, walking groups and live bands as it winds its way through the city streets to Queens Park. Later we will stop at Laurel Bank Park, once a private garden owned by Mr Samuel George Stephens who gifted it to the people of Toowoomba for public use in 1939. After dinner, weather permitting, we visit the night gardens in Queens Park, a spectacular sight to see!

S​unday 17 September 2023 - Toowoomba - Home

After breakfast, we travel to The Japanese Garden 'Ju Raku En' which means 'to enjoy peace and longevity in a public place', where over 230 species of Japanese and Australian native trees and plants are waiting to be discovered. Next we visit the Springs Garden World which has the best selection of indoor and outdoor plants and flowers available on the Darling Downs before lunch with the best views at Picnic Point. Return to Brisbane this afternoon, where your transfers will be arranged.

The Comfort Inn Glenfield is ideally located on the south-side of Toowoomba within walking distance to shops and restaurants, and only a short drive to sporting fields, the Preston Peak Winery, the Garden of Remembrance and the University of Queensland Campus. The hotel is set peacefully off the road in landscaped gardens and conveniently next to the Toowoomba Shopping Plaza.

This hotel offers well-appointed accommodation with 51 rooms all featuring free Foxtel, free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities, and air-conditioning. Includes a barbeque area and outdoor pool, which has a small wading pool attached. Facilties include an on-site bar and restaurant open for dinner and room service.
