Depart Sydney for Parkes, there are four pick up points this morning, check the FAQ for locations and times. Enjoy lunch at Lithgow Workers Club (own expense) prior to travelling onto Parkes.
Check into your accommodation for the next two nights with time to freshen up prior to dinner.

Day 2 - Saturday 19 October 2024
Following breakfast visit The CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope, star of the movie 'The Dish' (2000) one of Australia's most prominent landmarks.
This afternoon be transferred to Trundle for the Borne again Concert. Be sure to take your hat, sunscreen, something warm (its will get down to 9 degrees when the sunsets!) and a picnic blanket for when you need a rest from all the dancing!
Late evening (approx 9:30pm) be transferred back to your motel in Parkes.

We want you to make the most of this event. Whether you dress to impress or dress for comfort is entirely up to you. Do, however, make sure you pack comfortable shoes, sunscreen and a hat. We also recommend taking a picnic blanket and something warm as it may be cool once the sun sets.
