- Days 1-2 - Fly to Siem Reap:
Arrive in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the gateway to the magnificent temples of Angkor. Transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day is yours to relax or begin exploring before a welcome dinner this evening. - Day 3 - Cruise Tonle Sap:
Visit mysterious Beng Mealea, a temple overrun by the jungle before enjoying a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, visiting the village of Kampong Kleng with its stilt houses and observing the way of life of this lake community. Return to Siem Reap for a traditional Apsara show and a dinner of local dishes. - Day 4 - Explore Angkor:
Journey into the old city of Angkor Thom. At its heart is the enigmatic Bayon, an iconic temple of innumerable sculptural decorations. Admire the Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King before continuing to the atmospheric Ta Prohm. The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to Angkor Wat, the most magnificent and best preserved of all of Angkor's treasures. - Day 5 - Travel to Saigon:
Fly to Saigon in Vietnam, where you'll enjoy lunch and dinner in a local restaurant. - Day 6 - Cu Chi Tunnels:
Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, for an eye-opening tour that centres around the hidden network of Viet Cong tunnels, bunkers and field hospitals used in the Vietnam War. This afternoon, explore Saigon's most iconic landmarks – the traditional Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, the powerful War Remnants Museum and the Independence Palace before admiring the elegant colonial architecture of the Central Post Office and Opera House. - Day 7 - Mekong Delta:
Travel to the Mekong Delta region where you'll board a sampan boat and explore the network of canals and waterways that criss-cross this lush region. Pass riverside communities and locals fishing and trading in small boats, visit cottage industries making coconut candy and pop rice and the workshop of a family who weave with water hyacinth. Lunch is at a local house where you will witness a Bánh xèo (savoury pancake) demonstration. - Day 8 - Fly to Hanoi:
Fly to Vietnam's charming capital, Hanoi. Tour the city, starting at the ancient citadel to learn about its history, followed by Cua Bac Church. Stroll past the French colonial villas of Phan Dinh Phung Street and enter the calm of the 11th century Taoist temple Quan Thanh. Afterwards, walk along the shores of the West Lake to Chau Long Market where you can sample local snack pho cuon, then peer in the windows of the traditional wedding cake shops on Hang Than Street. End at Long Bien Bridge and railway station. - Day 9 - Halong Bay:
Travel to Halong Bay and board your overnight cruise and set sail into the awe-inspiring beauty of Halong Bay. While onboard, visit caves, try kayaking on the turquoise waters, have a go at squid fishing and get up early for sunrise Tai Chi on deck. - Day 10 - Return to Hanoi:
Today you will disembark your Halong Bay cruise and return to Hanoi. This evening attend the Quintessence of Tonkin show, a spectacular open-air performance celebrating the rich history of northern Vietnam. - Day 11 - More Hanoi:
Today you will explore more of the city, learning about Ho Chi Minh at his grand mausoleum, and visiting the One Pillar Pagoda and Presidential Palace gardens. Then wander the serene grounds of the Temple of Literature. This afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology, before taking a cyclo ride through the bustling Old Quarter. Continue to Ngoc Son Temple, on Hoan Kiem Lake, and end the day with a traditional water puppet show. - Day 12 - Fly to Singapore:
Today you will fly to Singapore. The rest of the day is at leisure with dinner this evening at your hotel. - Day 13 - Explore Singapore:
Embark a full day tour of Singapore. Begin in the historic neighbourhoods of Chinatown and Kampong Glam, where you can soak up local culture and learn about the art of 'teh tarik' (tea pulling). Pass Parliament House on the way to Merlion Park, where you'll get excellent views over Marina Bay. Arrive at the Fullerton Hotel via a hidden walkway for a delicious High Tea. This evening cruise the Singapore River as the sun sets then, post dinner, explore the magnificent Gardens by the Bay and enjoy its iconic light show. - Day 14 - Board the Azamara Pursuit:
After breakfast transfer to Singapore's cruise terminal to board your cruise. The rest of the day is free to explore the ship's facilities and settle in. Throughout your cruise, when your ship comes into port, there will be a range of excursions available to help you explore each destination. These excursions are at your own expense and are bookable on your cruise reservation. - Day 15 - Cruise – Singapore:
Use today to explore the amenities and entertainments of the Azamara Pursuit or continue your explorations of Singapore. - Day 16 - Cruise – At Sea:
Indulge in a spa treatment, lounge around the pool or try out some of the bars and restaurants on this day of sailing. - Day 17 - Cruise – Semarang:
Arrive on the Indonesian island of Java. The city of Semarang has long been a major port, and you'll find plenty of Dutch colonial architecture here. It is also the gateway to two of Indonesia's most prolific sites, Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist temple, and Prambanan, a 9th-century Hindu temple complex. - Day 18 - Cruise – Surabaya:
Your second stop on the island of Java, Surabaya is a vibrant city that blends modern skyscrapers with a Dutch colonial past. Explore the stalls along the narrow lanes of the Arab Quarter, in search of trinkets and souvenirs. - Day 19 - Cruise – Celukan Bawang:
Arrive at your second Indonesian island, Bali, on the northern coast at Celukan Bawang. Set in lush landscapes and close to tranquil beaches, this stop offers either a serene escape or the opportunity to soak up some traditional Balinese culture. - Day 20 - Cruise – Benoa:
Enjoy your final day onboard the Azamara Pursuit docked in Benoa, Bali. You can spend it relaxing on deck or continue exploring the temples, rice terraces and verdant landscapes of this wonderful island. - Day 21 - Disembark in Benoa, Bali:
Disembark the Azamara Pursuit. You will be met by an English-speaking guide and discover more of Bali! Visit Garuda Wisnu Cultural Park with its sculptures, folklore and performances, a showcase of Bali's culture. Continue to Uluwatu Temple, a sacred sea temple, dramatically perched on a clifftop. As the sun sets, enjoy a kecak fire dance, where a chorus of chanting performers recreate scenes from Hindu epics. - Day 22 - Explore Ubud:
Travel away from the coast to explore Ubud. You'll start in Tohpati Village, known for its batik fabrics and Mas Village, where you'll see skilled artisans crafting jewellery and other ornamental pieces. Gaze over the picturesque landscapes of the Tegalalang Rice Terraces before visiting the playful macaques of the Sacred Monkey Forest and browsing the local handicrafts of Ubud's vibrant market. - Days 23-24 - Fly Bali to Australia:
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Australia, arriving home the same or the following day.
