Tuesday - Brisbane - Bundaberg (Tilt Train) - Bargara
This morning you'll meet your fellow travellers at Brisbane's Roma Street Station before boarding the Tilt Train for your journey to Bundaberg. On arrival in Bundaberg, you'll be transferred to Bargara - your home for the next 3 nights. Tonight join your fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner so that you can mingle and meet everyone on tour.
Wednesday - Bundaberg Rum Distillery & Turtle Experience
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery for a guided tour to learn about the fermenting and distilling process of Queensland's favourite spirit! You'll also have time to explore the Museum before heading back to your accommodation. Tonight is the highlight of the tour as you travel to Mon Repos Turtle Centre for a ranger-guided tour of the beach to watch the mother turtles as they come ashore to lay their clutches of eggs (Nov-Jan) or to watch as the eggs hatch and the baby turtles make their way to the water to start their journey.
Thursday - Bundaberg Botanic Gardens & Hinkler Hall of Aviation
Relax over breakfast before being transferred to Bundaberg's Botanic Gardens. Explore the gardens and perhaps you'd like to enjoy lunch in the garden's cafe. The Hinkler Hall of Aviation offers a range of galleries and exhibits celebrating Bert Hinkler's aviation pioneering spirit.
Friday - Bargara - Bundaberg - Brisbane (Tilt Train)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bundaberg's railway station to board the Tilt Train for your journey back to Brisbane. Say farewell to newfound friends as sadly your holiday comes to an end on arrival in Brisbane.
