Located approx 1 hour's drive north of Cairns, Port Douglas is your home for the next 5 nights. You will stay in a 4-star one bedroom apartment, a 15-20 min walk from the main street.

Your holiday package includes two full day tours. The first is a full day cruise from Port Douglas to the Great Barrier Reef, where you can experience first hand the magic of the Outer Barrier Reef. Choose to dive, snorkel or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of the semi-sub or the underwater observatory.

Your second is a full day tour to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation to explore this iconic area. View a myriad of Australian animals in their recreated natural environments, then travel on the Daintree Ferry and deep into the world's oldest rainforest. Explore the Daintree Rainforest on a guided rainforest boardwalk tour and see where the 'Rainforest meets the Reef'. Marvel at stunning rainforest views at Alexandra Range Lookout and search for wild crocodiles on a Daintree River Cruise.

Itinerary

    Day 1

    On arrival in Cairns, you will be met and transferred to your Port Douglas accommodation - a centrally located four-star one-bedroom apartment with balcony (room only). Your spacious apartment is styled like a classic North Queensland house, with cedar timber shutters, verandahs with views of the resort, overhanging roofs, all whilst being surrounded by the lush tropical gardens. Each apartment has a roofed balcony or patio, lounge and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Decorated with an elegant tropical feel, these apartments are a perfect getaway. The rest of your day is free to explore the town or relax and enjoy the views.

    Day 2

    Days 2–5
    During your stay in Port Douglas, two day tours are included in your holiday package and you can choose the dates you wish to travel.

    The first is a day cruise on a high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. This cruise departs the Port Douglas terminal daily (return transfers included) and includes morning and afternoon teas and a tropical buffet lunch. The boat docks alongside the custom designed base, so all ages and abilities can explore and enjoy the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. The large upper level sundeck provides a prime position to look out over the turquoise waters and mosaic of the reef, while the lower deck provides plentiful seating in the shade.

    Check-in commences at 9:15am, with boarding from 9:30am. After boarding, enjoy the complimentary morning ta/coffee. Your cruise departs Port Douglas at 10:00am and returns approx 4:30pm.

    Day 6

    Today, you will check out of your accommodation and be transferred to Cairns to make your way home.

It's also an easy walk to the Sunday Markets in Anzac Park and a regular local bus service for those days when you don't feel like walking.
