Day 1 - Cairns – Thursday Island – Cape York
As this holiday departs at 6.30am, accommodation will need to be pre-booked for the previous night. This morning you are transferred from your Cairns pre-tour accommodation to Cairns Airport. Your adventure begins when you board your aircraft to fly over the Great Barrier Reef to Horn Island. Transfer by ferry to Thursday Island, capital of the Torres Strait Islands. Time now to enjoy a guided bus tour of the island. This afternoon transfer by ferry to the northern-most settlements of mainland Australia where we stay for two nights.
Hotel: Seisia Holiday Village, 2 nights
    Included Meals: Dinner

    Day 2 Cape York
An unforgettable day! Stand at the very top of mainland Australia. We then visit Somerset (road conditions permitted), once the home of the legendary Jardine family and government outpost established in 1864. We have lunch on the palm fringed Anchorage Beach, which overlooks the Albany Passage. A walk on the beach will complete your day before returning to Seisia.
Included Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 3 Cape York – Bramwell
Southward bound, we cross the mighty Jardine River, stopping at Fruit Bat Falls for lunch. Relax, swim and enjoy this unique area with its enchanting waterfall. Travelling along part of the Old Telegraph Track, before we make our way to a ‘true blue, Aussie’ cattle station, Bramwell Station.
Hotel: Bramwell Cattle Station, Cape York
Included Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Day 4 Bramwell – Weipa
A southerly run through the wilderness with all its varied landscapes to cross the Wenlock River. We head for the shores of the Gulf of Carpentaria and our overnight stop at Weipa, with its view over Albatross Bay. This afternoon there will be the opportunity of a Sunset Wildlife Eco River Cruise (own expense).
Hotel: Albatross Bay Resort, or Heritage Motel Weipa
    Included Meals: Breakfast and dinner

    Day 5 Weipa – Musgrave
We continue south, stopping off at the picturesque Archer River, then on to the historic frontier gold town of Coen. The afternoon finds us arriving at our overnight accommodation at the Old Musgrave Telegraph Station.
    Hotel: Musgrave Roadhous
Included Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 6 Musgrave – Lakefield National Park – Cooktown
Explore Lakefield National Park, Queensland’s second largest at 543,000 hectares (1.34 million acres). Waterlily covered billabongs, wildlife and a great variety of birdlife makes for a memorable morning. We then enter ‘Quinkan Country’ near Laura. Here we climb (suitable footwear and reasonable fitness required) the sandstone escarpment at Split Rock to view ancient Aboriginal rock art, dated more than 13,000 years old, depicting traditional activities and culture. Travel through the agricultural district of Lakeland on our way to Cooktown, our overnight stop.
    Hotel: Sovereign Resort Hotel
Included Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Day 7 Cooktown – Cairns
The final exciting day has, unfortunately, arrived, but before returning to Cairns, we make our way south passing the mysterious Black Mountain and the historic Lions Den Hotel. Traversing the jungle shrouded Bloomfield Track (road conditions permitted) we see where the 'rainforest meets the reef' at Cape Tribulation. We travel through the splendour of a World Heritage listed rainforest. A scenic drive along the Marlin Coast back to Cairns is a perfect way to complete your tour.
    Included Meals: Breakfast and lunch
