Enjoy the relaxed tropical lifestyle of Tropical North Queensland. Spend 5 nights in Cairns, giving you time to explore the region.
On a day of your choice, a full day tour to Kuranda is included, which gives you the opportunity to explore the iconic markets and explore the village. You will travel one way by Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the other way winding your way through the tropical vegetation on the Kuranda Scenic Railway.
After your mainland stay, you will make your way to the marina, where you will board your air-conditioned fast catamaran to Fitzroy Island for a short 45 minute transfer. Fitzroy Island is an unspoilt tropical paradise of rainforest and beaches within the calm sheltered waters of the Great Barrier Reef. As Fitzroy Island is a National Park, you'll be able to discover spectacular walking trails, abundant marine life, and local wildlife during your stay.
On arrival back at Cairns marina, you will be met and transferred to the airport/railway station for your homeward journey.

Arrive Cairns
On arrival in Cairns, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your Cairns accommodation, a centrally located four-star one-bedroom apartment with balcony (room only).
Your apartment features a modern ensuite with shower, kitchenette, laundry facilities, separate dining and living areas with TV & Foxtel channels and a furnished balcony. Property facilities include a fitness centre and outdoor pool. The rest of your day is free to explore the city or relax and enjoy the views.

Cairns
Days 2–5During your stay in Cairns, a day tour to Kuranda is included in your package (choose which day you wish to travel). Enjoy a day trip travelling to the funky rainforest village of Kuranda in style with the Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Railway package! Fly over the rainforest canopy on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Explore the rainforest at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations and join a guided ranger tour. Experience the brand new “Edge” lookout, which offers uninterrupted views of the mighty Barron Falls through glass panels. Enjoy spare time in Kuranda Village. Browse for jewellery gifts and more at the Original and Rainforest Markets or taste a range of culinary treats at Kuranda’s many quirky cafes. Visit the world’s largest butterfly flight aviary at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or enjoy a relaxing walk along the Barron River. Experience the world’s most beautiful railway journey on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and journey past stunning rainforest waterfalls and past steep gorges. Stop at Barron Falls station and see the stunning Barron Falls.

Cairns to Fitzroy Island
Make your own way from your accommodation to the marina for your high-speed catamaran transfer to Fitzroy Island. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the island, enjoy island activities or sit back and relax. Dinner tonight is included in your package.

Days 7–8Enjoy relaxing days on the island. Breakfast and dinner is included daily in your package.

Fitzroy Island - Cairns - Home
Today, you will check out of your accommodation and be transferred by catamaran back to Cairns. You will be met and transferred by private vehicle to the airport/railway station for your journey home.

Your accommodation is conveniently located within walking distance to the city centre and shopping precinct, the Reef Fleet Terminal and The Esplanade. An eclectic mix of restaurants on the Pier are also within walking distance.
Fitzroy Island
Located on the ground floor and level 2, Island Suites are a spacious one bedroom suite (71 sqm in size). Each Island Suite includes a generous balcony, kitchenette with microwave, toaster and full size fridge as well as tea and coffee facilities. Each suite is air-conditioned with ceiling fans in rooms, Queen bed, plasma TV, lounge and dining area and en-suite black marble tiled bathroom.
