    Travel through the city of Adelaide northwards to the world-renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region.

    Stop at Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, an award-winning cellar door. The friendly staff share their stories behind the wines as you sample their blends. Sit back and admire their stunning vineyard views while you enjoy some morning tea.

    On arrival at Lambert Estate at Angaston, you will enjoy a structured wine tasting whilst sampling local seasonal produce from gourmet platters. The main course follows, and is a feast for the senses, with two signature dishes, salad and vegetables. You may wish to purchase a glass of wine from the impressive wine selection or enjoy a coffee accompanied by their popular Chocolatier (Chocolate Port).

    Leaving Lambert Estate, travel to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company your final stop for the day. Here you will taste house-made chocolates paired with Vineyard Road’s handcrafted wines which will be a great way to finish off our Barossa Food and Wine Experience.

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. The day is yours to explore at leisure. Within an easy 10 min walk from the hotel you have the Adelaide Art Gallery, Museum, Botanic Gardens, State Library and Rundle Mall. If you are feeling more adventurous, it's only 20 minutes' walk to the Adelaide Oval via the River Torrens Footbridge. Catch a tram to the Adelaide Central Markets prior to heading to Glenelg and walk along the foreshore, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants dotting Jetty Road and check out the boutique shops.

    On this tour, you'll visit the incredible Raptor Domain for the exciting and educational "Free Flight" Birds of Prey Presentation at Raptor Domain. This is the only free flight Birds of Prey display in South Australia and it is thought by many to be the most interactive Birds of Prey display in Australia.

    Next, travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery (South Australia’s only commercial Eucalyptus Oil Distillery) for a delicious BBQ Lunch. After lunch, you’ll listen to an introductory talk about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. You may choose to taste Kangaroo Island Ciders’ range of Colony Cove products including Apple Sparkler and Cider (additional cost). Finish off with some free time in their souvenir shop where you will find an assortment of Eucalyptus products.

    Your next stop is Clifford’s Honey Farm, where you’ll enjoy an informative guided tour of the honey room where you will learn about the extraction process, taste a honey soft drink and have the option to sample the Drunken Drone Brewery’s Honey Wheat Ale. In the farm gate shop, you can see a working beehive where you can try to spot the Queen bee. There are different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey and beauty products to purchase as well as their famous honey ice-cream.

    Continue to Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast of Kangaroo Island for a photo opportunity. This delightful tour ends with a visit to the newly renovated False Cape Wines Cellar Door situated on the beautiful Dudley Peninsula. Here, you can soak up the views and enjoy a structured tasting of their premium wines. Enjoy dinner at the Penneshaw Hotel before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your return ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

    From Adelaide, this tour is a 16-hour day that includes travel to and from Kangaroo Island. You do get time to rest during your ferry transfers and coach travel between attractions.
