Today, you'll make your own way to River Heads to join the rest of the group for your ferry transfer (approx 1pm) to Kingfisher Bay Resort - your home for the next 3 nights.

Late this afternoon, spend time with the Resort's Chef and Ranger as you learn about and experience the local bush tucker. Nibble on native berries bursting with flavour and relish in the refreshing citrus of lemon myrtle as the Chef and Resort Ranger explain how these ingredients can be utilised in cooking. This evening enjoy a Bush tucker infused two course dinner on Wongari Deck.

Today, breakfast is served from 6:30am. Departing (7:45am) after breakfast, you'll get to see the sights of Fraser Island on a full day 4WD Island tour. During the day you'll visit Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Wanggoolba Creek, 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek, the Maheno Shipwreck and the coloured sands of the Pinnacles. Lunch at K'gari Beach Resort is included in the tour.

Christmas in July 3-course dinner will be held in the Ballroom and you'll be able to celebrate with your travelling companions and new found friends.

Breakfast will be served from 6:30am. Fraser Island is regarded as Australia's number one whale-watching destination! The humpbacks aren't just passing by each July to October - they're taking time out in the calm, sheltered waters off Fraser Island's western bay to socialise, have some fun, learn some essential life skills and nurture their young.

This morning you'll enjoy a Half Day Whale Watch Cruise on the World Heritage-listed waters, joining in on the excitement as you witness these oceanic giants up close. Enjoy expert commentary from the family-operated crew that conduct the longest established whale watching company in Australia.

On your return from the cruise, relive the morning's highlights over lunch at the Sand & Wood Restaurant.

This afternoon, you are free to explore the resort or sit back and relax after an amazing morning. Tonight, enjoy sunset drinks at the Sunset Bar prior to a 3-course dinner at Sand & Wood restaurant.

Sadly your Fraser Island Christmas in July holiday comes to an end today. This morning, buffet breakfast will be served from 6:30am. After breakfast, you'll be transferred from Fraser Island to the mainland (approx 10:30am ferry), before making your own way home.

Secure Car Parking - River Heads:

• Secure car parking for ONE VEHICLE per room is included in this package

H​ow to find the secure parking: Vehicles need to be checked in at the River Heads Property Sales office (3/54 Ariadne St, River Heads) in the River Heads Shopping Village just down from the IGA supermarket. Our office hours are 8:30am – 5 pm 7 days a week. The Kingfisher Bay office is just a short walk (20m) down the veranda from our office at the shopping centre, they will check you in if you are staying at the resort.

Willing to share:
One of the advantages of travelling on a Travel at 60 dedicated group departure is that we have the ability to match solo travellers so that you can avoid paying the single supplement.
