    Day 1: Arrive Uluru - Kata Tjuta Sunset

    On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you’ll be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm).

    This afternoon, enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta. Witness a magnificent outback sunset there while enjoying sparkling wine.

    H​otel: Sails in the Desert (3 nights)

    Day 2: Kings Canyon

    Travel to Kings Canyon and make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Time permitting, you may choose to descend into the green oasis of the ‘Garden of Eden’. Or, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed. Return to Ayers Rock Resort.

    Day 3: Kata Tjuta - Uluru sunset

    Watch the sunrise at Uluru, then travel to Kata Tjuta. Spend time exploring Walpa Gorge and its unusual rock formations. This afternoon, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Then, join your guide for a drive around the base of Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk, where you’ll be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. View ancient rock art and learn about the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Late afternoon, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset with sparkling wine.

    Day 4: Field of Light - Depart Uluru

    Experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light. Under cover of darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white. Then make your way to the dune top, where you’ll be served tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Watch in awe as the sun pops up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light.

    Later, you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights to depart after 9.30am).

    Fitness Requirements

    • Kings Canyon Creek Bed Walk (alternative option) - Low level of fitness required
      You may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor with our Driver/Guide
    • Kings Canyon Rim Walk - High level of fitness required
      This 6km hike will not be suitable for all guests. The first 30-minute incline is considered “Difficult”. The Tour Director will offer guest an easier alternative along the creek walk for those that are unable.

    What to Bring:

    • Enclosed walking shoes
    • Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen
    • Water bottle to hold 1.5 litre
    • Warm layers in cooler months
