The 7-night cruise aboard the MV Fiji Princess takes travellers on a journey of discovery into the Yasawa Islands. From the iconic Blue Lagoon to the private beach at Nanuya Lailai and sipping tea at one of the remotest tea shops in the world, each day will uncover a new facet of this gem of a South Pacific country.
Secluded white sand beaches, traditional Fijian village entertainment, swimming, snorkelling, tours and experiences – even story-telling of ancient Fijian legends! In addition to the above, we’ve also added pre- and post-cruise stay at one of Fiji’s newest hotels – the Nalagi!
Complimentary land transfers
Day 1: Land at Fiji’s international airport and make your way to the friendly representative who will take you to the overnight hotel at Nalagi. Just 10 minutes away from the resort, it boasts of luxe rooms and suites and Fiji’s first roof-top infinity pool and bar! Relax, check out the sights and turn in for the night.
Day 2: Have a hearty breakfast on us and check out of the hotel. Again, there will be a representative who will facilitate your transfer to the Denarau port. Check in and unpack – it’s going to be a week of fun! The Fiji Princess will cast its lines and make for Modriki island. Remember Tom Hanks’ epic flick ‘Castaway’? The ridiculously pretty island with periwinkle blue seas? That’s the one. Spend the day swimming, snorkelling and working that tan. As evening approaches, the crew will serve canapes and a glass of sparkling wine to pair with the golden sunset.
Day 3: The cruise ship will sail overnight and anchor at Soso Bay. Trust us, the island and the beach is anything but so-so! Spend the day exploring the island, visit the village of Soso and get treated to a traditional Fijian Indian dinner. Oh, we do recommend signing up for the optional tour of snorkelling with reef sharks. They’re small and are very gentle!
Day 4: Today, the Fiji Princess will anchor at Naukacuvu. There will be a traditional roast for dinner and you’ll need the calories – activities include cooking lessons, reef snorkelling and tasting the very Fijian seafood salad called Kokoda. Oh, and there will be island-style bingo afterwards.
Day 5: Gaze upon Fiji’s Sacred Isles and the magnificent Waya Lailai today. Enjoy the vistas and board the cruise ship, where a hearty lunch awaits. Today, travellers will spend time swimming, snorkelling and partaking in a traditional Fijian high tea! There will also be a ‘roti in lolo’ traditional meal and plenty of on-board entertainment.
Day 6: As morning beckons, you’ll wake up to the sights of the iconic Blue Lagoon! Explore the island and beach, while the crew prepares canapes and happy hours for you. Post that, there will be a traditional ‘lovo’ dinner on the beach, oodles of singing, storytelling and entertainment. Don’t forget, you’ve to still get back to the ship ‘cause a new destination awaits tomorrow.
Day 7: This day’s anchorage is at Sawa-i-Lau island. Your choice of activities includes a guided visit into the Sawa-i-Lau caves, a tour of the island, a Fijian kava ceremony (which you should not miss at any cost!) and a village-style seafood dinner. Ah, life is good!
Day 8: Today is particularly interesting because the anchorage is at Drawaqa Island. A protected marine area, the island is renowned for its bustling marine life. There will be marine biologist to help you explore and learn about the fragile ecosystem, plus options like visit to a local school and if you’re lucky – swimming with gentle manta rays. Oh, we almost forgot – there will be a BBQ on the Skydeck in the arvo. The cruise is at its end and what a way to round off a fantastic island-hopping journey!
Day 9: Back at Port Denarau, take the complimentary private car transfer back to the overnight hotel. Relax and go through the tonnes of pictures you’ve taken.
Day 10: Have a hearty breakfast, check out and take the private car transfer to the airport. We know you’ve had a fabulous trip, just come back to Fiji again!
