There's so much to see in Tropical North Queensland. This self drive holidays allows you the freedom to discover Cairns, the Atherton Tableland and spend time wandering through the Kuranda Markets and village. Discover Barron Falls and be amazed at the size of the giant Curtain Fig tree. From Cairns, why not head south for the day to explore Mission Beach and the Cassowary Coast.

After spending a few days in Cairns, your next destination is Port Douglas. Enjoy the spectacular scenery on the coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas, stopping along the way to take in the stunning views or watch the hang-gliders take off from the clifftops and soar like eagles on the air currents.

From Port Douglas, you can travel north to explore the Daintree. From Port Douglas, before crossing the Daintree River on the iconic vehicle ferry. Spend some time in the Daintree Village, then make your way north to Cooktown.

Mossman Gorge is a must-do when visiting North Queensland and is a short drive from Port Douglas. Spend time exploring the gorge as there are a number of walking tracks in the area, before before heading into the township.

While in Port Douglas, a full day Great Barrier Reef cruise is also included in your package.

    Arrive Cairns

    On arrival in Cairns, collect your hire car before heading to your one bedroom apartment with balcony offering glimpses of Trinity Inlet.

    Cairns and surrounds

    Days 2–5

    Spend your days exploring Cairns and it surrounding regions - the Atherton Tablelands, Cassowary Coast and Cairn's northern beaches.

    Cairns to Port Douglas

    Enjoy the spectacular scenery on the coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas, stopping along the way to take in the stunning views or watch the hang-gliders take off from the clifftops and soar like eagles on the air currents.

    Port Douglas and surrounds

    Days 7–8

    Port Douglas is a good starting point for your journey to the Daintree National Park and Mossman Gorge. While in Port Douglas, a full day Great Barrier Reef cruise is also included in your package.

    Farewell Port Douglas and Cairns

    Say farewell to Tropical North Queensland as you make your way back to Cairns for your homeward journey.

Cairns:

Enjoy your stay in a stylish one bedroom apartment with balcony offering glimpses of Trinity Inlet. Your apartment features a modern ensuite with shower, kitchenette, laundry facilities, separate dining and living areas with TV and Foxtel channels and a furnished balcony. Property facilities include a fitness centre and outdoor pool.

Your accommodation is conveniently located within walking distance to the city centre and shopping precinct, the Reef Fleet Terminal and The Esplanade. An eclectic mix of restaurants on the Pier are also within walking distance.

Port Douglas:

Your 4-star apartment is located a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Port Douglas, where you will find a huge array of shopping stores, including specialty shops, fashion stores, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and newsagent. It's also an easy walk to the Sunday Markets in Anzac Park and a regular local bus service for those days when you don't feel like walking.

Your spacious one bedroom apartment is styled like a classic North Queensland house, with cedar timber shutters, verandahs with views of the resort, overhanging roofs, all whilst being surrounded by the lush tropical gardens. Each apartment has a roofed balcony or patio, lounge and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Decorated with an elegant tropical feel, these apartments are a perfect getaway.
