5-night Fraser Island & Hervey Bay Getaway 2020

DAY 1 - Arrive in Hervey Bay

Welcome to Hervey Bay! Check in to your hotel and take the afternoon to relax. A waterfront esplanade links the city's marina with beaches offering calm waters for swimming!

This evening a short walk from you hotel you will find Hervey Bay Boat Club - a great place to meet up with your fellow Travel at 60 travellers for dinner and a drink (at own expense).

DAY 2 - Hervey Bay

After breakfast, the day is yours to explore this coastal town. Walk the historic Urangan Pier or stroll the flat pathways of the beachfront esplanade, dotted with seaside cafes and picnic spots, while enjoying stunning views.

DAY 3 - Transfer to Fraser Island

Enjoy breakfast and some time at leisure, before boarding your bustransfer to River Heads Terminal to board your ferry to Fraser Island - Kingfisher Bay Resort. On arrival at the resort, check-in to you hotel and take the afternoon to relax ahead of this evening group dinner at Maheno Restaurant with your fellow travellers.

DAY 4 - Fraser Island

This morning enjoy breakfast at the resort restaurant before meeting at reception to begin your full day 4WD beauty Spots tour. Be sure to pack your swimsuit as you visit some of the Island's best swimming spots! Including Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Pile Valley, Wanggoolba Creek, The Maheno shipwreck and Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Lunch is included today along the way. On return to Kingfisher Bay enjoy a Bush Tucker Talk & Taste - Spend time with the resort Chef and Ranger and explore bush tucker and modern cookery. This evening dinner will be at Seabelle Restaurant, located in the resort.

DAY 5 - Fraser Island

After breakfast enjoy a relaxing morning at leisure and enjoy the resort facilities ahead of lunch at Maheno Restaurant. Later this afternoon take part in a Ranger guided eco tour. Tonight dinner is included at Maheno Restaurant.

DAY 6 - Transfer to Hervey Bay

After breakfast, bid farewell to Fraser Island for a 10:30am ferry departure back to River Heads, arriving at 11:15am.

What if I decide to self drive?

If you are planning to self drive to Hervey Bay, complimentary car parking (1 vehicle per room) is available during your 2 night stay while at Mantra. For a secure car parking option when you are staying on Fraser Island there is parking available next to Kingfisher Bay Resort's mainland reception at River Heads, where you will board the ferry which is open from 08:00am-6:30pm.

What do should I pack?
