Enjoy 3 nights at World Heritage-listed Fraser Island including breakfast daily. Whether you prefer the leisure status or are an adventure-seeker at heart, there is something on offer for everyone... From canoe paddles along the western bay to soothing treatments at the Island Day Spa, you'll be spoilt for choice, naturally.

The island's blue, fresh-water lakes are perched in the dunes and perfect to cool down on a hot Queensland Day; or you can wander along crystal-clear streams as they meander through the leafy greenness of the forest.

On day 2 of your stay enjoy the Fraser Island Beauty Spots Tour and learn about the natural and cultural history of Fraser Island. Enjoy the crystal-clear, blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the island's most beautiful perched lake. From Central Station, walk along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek as it flows silently through the rainforest. Marvel at the tall, majestic satinay trees of Pile Valley. Drive along spectacular Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Enjoy a stop at fresh Eli Creek, this swift-flowing creek, the largest on the eastern beach, spills 80 mega litres of water into the ocean every day. Visit the Maheno shipwreck and marvel at The Coloured Sands of the Pinnacles. See an ancient forest being uncovered as Stonetool Sand Blow moves across the island.

Half Day Morning Whale Watch Cruise from $145 per adult (1 Aug - 15 Oct 2023)

Humpback whales book their holidays in Hervey Bay from early August to end of October. During this time about a thousand humpbacks spend anywhere from a day to two weeks relaxing and nurturing their calves in the sheltered lee of K'gari. Because the whales are taking time out from their migration they provide some of the best whale watching it the world As they come in close to the boats, they are easily seen in the clear waters of the bay. Marine rangers/skippers provide commentary and a multimedia presentation.

Getting to Fraser Island:
A short ferry ride (approx. 50 minutes) across the Sandy Strait from River heads is included in your package. At the time of booking, please let your consultant the preferred ferry times based on the below:
Secure Car parking at River Heads (uncovered):
Pre booking is essential for the carpark. Your travel consultant can add this to your booking
Transfers from Hervey Bay Airport:
For travellers flying into Hervey Bay - Your travel consultant can add an airport transfer from Hervey Bay Airport to the River Heads ferry terminal to your booking.
Transfers from Maryborough West Train Station:
For travellers catching the Tilt Train to Maryborough West Train Station a private transfer will be required to River Heads. Your travel consultant can add a return transfer from Maryborough West Train Station to the River Heads ferry terminal to your booking

  • On sale till 31 January 2023 only (or until rooms sell out) for 
  • Travel between 01 April - 02 October 2023 (black out periods apply)
  • Complimentary upgrade subject to availability
  • 1 date amendment will be permitted outside of 30 days prior to arrival. Amendments will be strictly subject to availability to the campaign inventory at the time of amendment.
  • Cannot be used for group or conference bookings. Not combinable with any other special rates, packages or promotions.
  • Strictly subject to availability at the time of booking.

Ferry Transfers

Please note, ‘ferry transfer’ does not include vehicles. Please advise preferred passenger ferry transfer times using the options at the end of the booking process.

Payment

Non refundable deposit of $200 required within 7 days of booking. Final payment is required no later than 40 days prior to travel.

Cancellations and Amendments

  • 31 or more days prior to arrival: No cancellation penalty
  • 15 - 30 days prior to arrival: a fee of one night's accommodation will be charged
  • 14 days or less prior to arrival: full value of booking will be charged, no refunds.
