A remote port city in eastern Russia surrounded by tall snow-capped mountains, volcanoes and Avacha Bay, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky offers a glimpse into Russian culture and the opportunity for a grand outdoor adventure - whether hiking in the mountains or enjoying a whale-watching tour.
