Experience the sights of Sydney’s renowned harbour as you set sail from one of the most iconic cruise harbours in the world, bound for Adelaide. Along the way you will have the chance to spend the day in Melbourne, wandering the famed laneways, brimming with local artwork, eclectic boutiques and sumptuous local eateries before arriving in Adelaide, famous for its spectacular wineries and incredible local produce.

While in Adelaide visit the beautiful Barossa Valley with its history and German Heritage. Plus the Adelaide Hills with its charming villages and free time to explore the historic town of Hahndorf. Plus we have also included a full day tour to Kangaroo Island! You will have the chance to visit the amazing Seal Bay and explore the Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.

Finally to top off this great itinerary, travel back to Sydney aboard the Indian Pacific. There’s no better way to experience the spectacular interior landscape of Australia than by the romance of rail.

  • 30/11/20 - Embark the ship in Sydney and set sail from 5:00pm.
  • 01/12/20 - At Sea
  • 02/12/20 - Today the ship will dock in Melbourne, from 9:00am to 8:00pm
  • 03/12/20 - At Sea
  • 04/12/20 - This morning the ship will dock in Adelaide at 8:00am. Upon disembarkation you will be met and transferred to your Adelaide city hotel. The rets of the days is yours at leisure.
  • 05/12/20 - This morning make you way to the designated meeting point for your Grand Barossa and Hahndorf day tour. Visit the beautiful Barossa Valley with its history and German Heritage. In the afternoon you will visit the Adelaide Hills with its charming villages and free time to explore the historic town of Hahndorf. In this tour visit the magnificent Seppeltsfield Estate for wine tasting and a chance to purchase wine. Also stop in at Wolf Blass for a guided tour and the opportunity to learn the art of winemaking. Next is Penfolds for a preview and tasting with a delicious lunch. On your way back to Adelaide, stop in Hahndorf for some free time and a chance to purchase afternoon tea.
  • 06/12/20 - Enjoy a relaxing day exploring Adelaide at your own pace.
  • 07/12/20 - This morning will be an early start as you head off to Kangaroo Island for the day. Kangaroo Island is a beautiful place to visit, after your cruise from the amazing Cape Jervis you will see the rugged beauty and abundance of wildlife. Pass through the charming Fleurieu Peninsula on your way to Cape Jervis then board the cruise. Once you arrive at Kangaroo Island, visit the amazing Seal Bay and walk among the wild seals and enjoy an Aussie style lunch in a charming country setting. After lunch visit the Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. For the end of the tour cruise back to Cape Jervis and then journey by coach back to Adelaide.
  • 08/12/20 - This morning you will be transferred to the Adelaide railway station where you will board the Indian Pacific. A mid-morning departure from the Adelaide Parklands Terminal platform and you soon find yourself gazing at the remarkable rock formations of the Flinders Ranges. The rocky scenery gives way to outback scrub as you make your way to Broken Hill in the early evening. With its harsh arid landscape – often featured in cinema for its unforgiving, lunar-like appearance – Broken Hill offers a range of fascinating Off Train Excursions that highlight and celebrate how industrious locals have adapted to their incredible outback home.
  • 09/12/20 - Awake to the splendour of the Blue Mountains. Disembark the train and marvel at the expansive views and natural surrounds. Take a walk through the eucalypt forests or take the cable car for a bird’s-eye view of this World Heritage listed landscape before completing your journey on our dedicated NSW rail service (hosted by our staff) into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay on board to travel directly to Sydney.
