Itinerary

1. 1

   Arrival in Aitutaki

   Your South Pacific holiday utilises Jetstar's direct services from Sydney or Brisbane, or standard connections from Melbourne. As flights cross the International Date Line, you will arrive in Rarotonga on the same calendar day you left Australia. This essentially rewards you with an extra day to begin your holiday!

   On arrival at Rarotonga International Airport meet a local tour representative who will escort you directly to the domestic terminal check-in. Board your scheduled Air Rarotonga domestic flight for a breathtaking 50-minute journey north to Aitutaki. A resort coach driver will meet you for a quick 5-minute air-conditioned drive to the mainland jetty where you will step onto the resort's private ferry raft for a smooth 25-second crossing over the narrow channel, arriving straight onto the secluded shores of the Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort. You will be guided into the resort's main reception lounge where staff will welcome you with a chilled tropical fruit juice or fresh drinking coconut (nu). After checking into your accommodation, spend the remainder of the day relaxing and becoming familiar with the peaceful surroundings. Take a stroll along the beach, enjoy the lagoon views, and settle into the slower pace of island life before enjoying dinner at the resort and watching the sunset over the water.

   Island Serenity & Lagoon Exploration

   Days 2–4

   Start each morning with a leisurely stroll to the resort's restaurant for your complimentary full cooked buffet breakfast. Dine right on the water's edge as the sun illuminates the brilliant turquoise shades of the lagoon. Spend your days exactly as you please. Take advantage of the resort’s complimentary daily cultural activities, including island drumming, ukulele playing, and traditional palm-frond weaving. Alternatively, grab the free snorkelling gear, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards to explore the calm, crystal-clear sanctuary at your own pace. On one of your evenings, join your fellow travellers at the Manager's Sunset Cocktail Party. Enjoy complimentary drinks and canapés while watching the sky turn vibrant shades of pink and orange over the water.

   Transition to Rarotonga & Beachfront Relaxation

   Enjoy your final morning breakfast on the private island before completing a seamless check-in at reception. The resort staff will load your luggage onto the private raft ferry for the 25-second crossing back to the mainland, followed by a short coach transfer to Aitutaki Airport. Board your 50-minute domestic flight back to Rarotonga International Airport. Upon landing on the main island, your hosted arrival transfer service will meet you at the terminal and drive you along the scenic southern coast straight to Sancuary Rarotonga on the Beach. Check into your air-conditioned, Beachside Suite and step out onto your private balcony. Spend the rest of the day dipping your toes into the safe, fish-filled swimming lagoon located just steps from your door.

   Discovering Rarotonga at your Leisure

   Days 6–9

   Savour a complimentary tropical breakfast. If your stay lands on a Saturday, your transfer can easily be arranged to the famous Punanga Nui Cultural Market in town to shop for local crafts, black pearls, and seasonal fruits. Spend the afternoon exploring the Titikaveka marine sanctuary right outside your hotel. This area boasts some of the best and safest snorkelling on the island, teeming with blue starfish and colourful tropical fish. If you prefer to stay dry, rent a car or hop on the local island bus that conveniently circles the entire island clockwise and counter-clockwise.

5. 10

   Homeward Bound Journey

   Enjoy your last tropical breakfast and a final swim in the warm Pacific waters. Pack your bags and check out of your room, leaving your luggage securely with the hotel reception while you enjoy your remaining hours on the island. Your pre-arranged airport shuttle will pick you up directly from the resort and transfer you back to Rarotonga International Airport in time for your international flight. Board your direct Jetstar flight back to Sydney or Brisbane (or your connecting flight to Melbourne). As you fly westbound across the Pacific, you will cross back over the International Date Line, arriving home the following day filled with unforgettable memories of your twin-island paradise escape.
