OVERNIGHT: Westin Perth

DAY 2 – PERTH KARRI VALLEY

This morning, we travel south and follow the Darling Escarpment. We head to the Northern Jarrah Forest and visit the Forest Discovery Centre in Dwellingup for a history lesson on the forestry industry of WA. We continue on to Harvey, a large dairy and fruit growing area. From here, we explore deeper into orchard country, on to Donnybrook and into the vast Karri and Marri Forests of the Manjimup region. Then, we visit Saltwater Estate for a delicious high-tea-style lunch.

OVERNIGHT: 2 nights Karri Valley Resort (B, L, D)

DAY 3 – GLOUCESTER TREE & PEMBERTON

This morning we take a trip to the Cascades in Gloucester National Park. The Lefroy Brook is an impressive sight as it tumbles over the Cascades. We carry on through the National park to view the Gloucester Tree which was once the second highest fire lookout tree in the world; however, it is no longer used for this purpose.

After some free time in Pemberton, we head to Silkwood Estate. Perched lakeside and with panoramic views of the Karri Forest, this is the perfect place to enjoy award winning wines and lunch.

Later we return to Karri Valley Resort to enjoy the wonderful facilities of the property; a canoe trip on the lake or a walk to the falls.

DAY 4 – KARRI VALLEY - CAPE LEEUWIN - BUNKER BAY

Today, we head to the most south-westerly point of the Australian mainland, Cape Leeuwin. Here, we will take a guided tour of the historic lighthouse and view the changing colours at the meeting point of the Indian and Southern Oceans. We travel via Caves Road and take in several of the famous surfing beaches of this region, including Prevelly Beach and Gracetown before arriving in Yallingup. We then visit the Caves House Hotel for lunch, before arriving at Bunker Bay later this afternoon.

OVERNIGHT: 2 nights Bunker Bay Resort (B, L, D)

DAY 5 – MARGARET RIVER REGION

Today is a day to experience the fare from the South West. First up, we visit the Margaret River Chocolate Company for a self-guided tour. We then make our way to Leeuwin Estate Winery for lunch, where we experience a combination of fine wine, food, art, and music. Enjoy some free time in the Margaret River township before returning to Bunker Bay later in the afternoon.

DAY 6 – BUNKER BAY TO FREMANTLE

Today, we travel to Busselton on Geographe Bay and walk the famous 1.7-kilometre jetty – the longest in Australia. We travel north through to the port city of Bunbury, where we take in impressive views over the harbour and city. We travel through Australind and on to Mandurah. Here, we stop at the Redmanna Restaurant for lunch and take in the beautiful views of Mandjar Bay.

This afternoon, we head out on the water to explore further, with the chance of spotting dolphins. Tonight, enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers.

OVERNIGHT: 2 nights at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle (B, L, D)

Early this morning, we depart Fremantle and take a Rottnest Express ferry to Rottnest Island. Here, we experience all that Rottnest has to offer. We’ll take an informative bus tour around the island’s most spectacular locations, with insightful commentary. You might even meet a quokka or two along the way. After lunch, enjoy some free time before setting sail back to Perth via the Swan River. Enjoy a late dinner with your fellow travellers and reminisce about your amazing trip.

DAY 8 – PERTH FAREWELL

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to the airport or East Perth Rail Terminal if you are joining the Indian Pacific.
