Day by day

Itinerary

  1. 1

    Welcome to Cairns

Begin your journey in Gimuy (Cairns), the hub of Tropical North Queensland. Visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures for a wildlife boat cruise and spot crocodiles in their natural habitat. Later, take part in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience by contributing to a rainforest restoration project, helping protect the Notophyll Vine Forest.

  2. 2

    Great Barrier Reef

Set your sights on the Great Barrier Reef today, where endless blue gives way to one of the planet’s most vibrant ecosystems. Cruise across the water by catamaran before arriving at a world alive with colour and movement beneath the surface. Slip on mask and fins to snorkel among coral gardens teeming with tropical fish (equipment provided) or remain dry and peer into the depths from a semi-submersible’s underwater viewing deck. Whichever you choose, the reef reveals itself in fascinating detail, brought to life by the insights of your local guide. Back onboard, enjoy a buffet lunch followed by tea and coffee, the ocean stretching in every direction. As the day winds down, cruise back to Gimuy (Cairns) with salt in the air and memories of this extraordinary seascape still fresh.

  3. 3

    Cairns Free Time

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Consider from a selection of Optional Experiences*. For a different perspective, why not take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda, gliding above World Heritage-listed rainforest to Kuranda Village; known for its markets, galleries and laid-back charm, before returning on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway. Prefer to take it slow? Stroll along Cairns Esplanade, browse boutique shops and local markets, or linger over coffee at a waterfront cafe, soaking up the tropical atmosphere. This evening, rejoin your fellow travellers for dinner at Ochre Restaurant, where Australian flavours shine through dishes crafted from the region’s local produce.

  4. 4

    Cairns - Sydney

Ease into the morning before leaving the tropics behind and flying to Warrane (Sydney). On arrival, check into your centrally located hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You might wander to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair for iconic harbour views, explore the Sydney Modern Art Gallery, or follow your curiosity through the city’s vibrant streets.

  5. 5

    Sydney Sightseeing

The icons of Warrane (Sydney) take centre stage today. Begin with a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House, where bold design meets a world stage, and stories of its architecture and celebrated performers come to life. From harbour to coast, continue to Bondi Beach for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Bondi Surf Life Saving Club. Discover the history and vital role of this club before joining your Surf Life Saving guide for a Be My Guest lunch at the Bondi RSL, looking out at the shimmering water and white sand. Later, see the city from a new angle on a Sydney Harbour cruise. Glide past Circular Quay, hidden coves, waterfront mansions and leafy parklands, and sail beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with incredible views of the Sydney Opera House completing the experience.

  6. 6

    Sydney Free Time

You get to decide how you spend today. Step out into the vibrant streets of Warrane (Sydney) or choose an Optional Experience* to see more of what lies beyond. Perhaps journey to the Blue Mountains, where the Three Sisters rise above a haze of eucalyptus and endless valleys, or take on the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a climb that delivers views as thrilling as the ascent itself. Later, gather with your fellow travellers over dinner and trade stories from a day well spent.

  7. 7

    Farewell from Sydney

As your journey ends, enjoy a final breakfast before saying goodbye to your fellow travellers, taking with you the memories you’ve shared along the way.
