Wednesday 13 April 2022
Arrive in Longreach for the start of your Outback Queensland adventure. You will be met at Longreach Airport by your Savannah Guide Operator Driver and transferred to Longreach Motor Inn for check-in. Dinner tonight will be at your accommodation. After dinner we will experience the Luminescence Sound & Light Show at Qantas Founders Museum.
Please note if you arrive by Spirit of the Outback Rail Journey you will miss the Luminescence Sound & Light Show this evening.

Witness a totally different way of schooling at Longreach School of Distance Education. Tour one of the largest classrooms in the world! Enjoy some free time in downtown Longreach for a bit of Outback retail therapy. Join our Camden Park Station Tour for an insider’s view into life on the land followed by dinner in the historic woolshed.

Friday 15 April 2022 (Good Friday)
After a relaxed breakfast, join your guide for a short drive to Rosebank Station where you will join in a station tour and a tuck into a homestead morning tea. Visit the world-class Qantas Founders Museum, eloquently telling the story of the founding of Qantas. View marvellous interpretive and interactive exhibits then join a guided Airpark Tour. Tonight, enjoy a meal at a favourite local watering hole – The Birdcage Hotel.

Saturday 16 April 2022
Travel from the Mitchell Grass plains of Longreach towards the dramatic mesa country of Winton on our full day tour. We visit the Australian Age of Dinosaurs perched high on a magnificent mesa overlooking the plains where dinosaurs once roamed! Onsite dinosaur enthusiasts treat us to a top-class interpretive tour of the laboratory, collection room, Dinosaur Canyon and March of the Titanosaurs. In Winton see the quirky Arno’s Wall, the Musical Fence and learn the story behind Australia’s unofficial national anthem at the Waltzing Matilda Centre. Return to Longreach late afternoon. Dine tonight in the award winning Harry’s Restaurant at Longreach Motor Inn.

Sunday 17 April 2022 (HAPPY EASTER)
Visit the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame to explore the newly renovated galleries. We’ll take a short drive to Ilfracombe. Founded in 1891, it was a transport hub for Wellshot Station, which at the time held the largest number of sheep on any station in the world. We’ll cap off the tour with an authentic pub lunch at the historic Wellshot Hotel. Late afternoon we unwind on the Drover’s Sunset Cruise with tasty on-board nibbles followed by a two-course table service dinner under the stars at Smithy’s Outback Dinner& Show.
