  • Day 5: Day in longreach: Experience the best of Longreach with your Legends Passes which provides entry into the Qantas founders museum and the Stockman Hall of Fame. Plus as the sun sets you will get to experience a legendary outback evening with the Drover's Sunset Cruise, including Smithy's Outback Dinner & Live Show.
  • Day 6: Longreach | Winton | Hughenden – 390 km | 4 hr: When you stop in Winton we have included a tour of Australian Age of Dinosaur Laboratory, Collection Room and Dinosaur Canyon.

This brilliant pink amphibious craft, the LARC vessel, is at home on land and sea. It provides the perfect way to experience the delights of the Birthplace of Queensland, the Town of 1770 where Captain James Cook and his Endeavour crew came ashore in May 1770. This one hour cruise takes in the magic of the clear waters of the bay and the golden sands of the national park, as the sun approaches the horizon signalling the end of another beautiful day. Experience the peaceful solitude and changing moods of our tropical paradise. Informative commentary and the famous LARC! Splashdown manoeuvre is included!

Common questions about this voyage

Do I have to pay a bond?
Yes a refundable Vehicle Security Deposit is payable at time of pickup based on selected liability option this will be $5,000.00. Please be aware a credit card must be used for the payment of the bond, Eftpos cards are not accepted. You can opt to reduce the bond amount by purchasing a liability reduction option at the time of pick up, which start from $25 per day, per vehicle.
What is supplied with the vehicle?
All vehicles are supplied with a kitchen kit and general equipment for your convenience. This includes cooking equipment and eating utensils, as well as pegs, a clothes line, fire extinguisher, bucket, hose, broom, dustpan and brush. Electrical appliances are supplied in vehicles that have 240V. Personal kits including sheets, blankets/duvets, pillows, pillowcases and bath towels are complimentary.
How long will it take to check out my vehicle?
Please allow at least 1 hour for vehicle pick-up. A Guest Service Officers (GSO) will take you through the Rental Agreement (RA) and show you through your vehicle.
