Head to Parkes in January 2027 for the annual Elvis Festival, celebrating the King of Rock with a fun-filled line up of events. Recognised as one of the top three Festivals and Events in Australia, the annual Parkes Elvis Festival is held every year in the second week of January, co-inciding with "The King's" birthday.
The Festival, celebrating its 34th year in 2027 features a jam-packed program of events including look-a-like contests, the beloved Street Parade, displays of Elvis artefacts, an absolutely amazing Gospel Service (where you'll enjoy priority seating), vintage cars, Miss Priscilla competition and so much more.

Itinerary

Sydney to Cowra
Pickup from Ibis Sydney Airport Hotel (O'Riordan Street) at 8:00am sharp. Additional pickup points at Strathfield, Blacktown, Penrith & Lithgow train stations (on request).
This is a 5 hour journey with breaks built-in for morning tea and lunch at Lithgow (own expense). Arrive into Cowra late afternoon. This evening enjoy dinner (included) at Imperial Hotel Cowra and get to know your fellow Elvis travellers.

Parkes Elvis Festival
Enjoy breakfast (included) at Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club then board the coach for the journey to Parkes and the first day of the Elvis Festival. Start the festivities with the Elvis Tribute Artist Heats at the Parkes Leagues Club. Experience some of the best Elvis tribute artists in the industry as they compete for their place in history at the preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest officially endorsed by the estate of Elvis Presley, Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. This contest is a search for the Elvis tribute artist who best represents Elvis in the area of vocals, style, stage presence and overall performance. After a morning of fun it’s time to return to Cowra. This evening enjoy a group dinner and show at Club Cowra featuring ShElvis - Sheryl Scarkie.

Parkes Elvis Festival
Enjoy breakfast (included) at Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club then board the coach for the journey to Parkes in time to attend the Street Parade. Enjoy Elvis-themed floats, Elvis and Priscilla look-a-likes, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and marching bands as they head from Bushman Street to Cooke Park down the length of Clarinda Street in the Northparkes Mines Street Parade. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you please (lunch is at your own expense today). There will be a variety of options from food trucks to pubs, clubs and restaurants within walking distance. This afternoon return to Cowra and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before dinner (included) at Club Cowra.

Parkes Elvis Festival
After an early morning breakfast (included) at Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club, the coach heads back to Parkes for the Gospel Service at Cooke Park Main Stage. From your Priority Seating, listen to the gospel songs of Elvis .The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you please (lunch is at your own expense today). There will be a variety of options from food trucks to pubs, clubs and restaurants within walking distance. This afternoon is the Feature Concert - Elvis Across America. Featuring Taylor Rodriguez & Charlie Gaylard, backed by the world famous Tributes in Concert Band, Elvis Across America showcases the incredible transformation of Elvis Presley from the rebellious rockabilly star of the 1950s to the powerhouse Vegas icon of the 1970s. Charlie Gaylard captures the raw energy, swagger, and excitement of Elvis’ early years, while Taylor Rodriguez delivers the charisma, spectacle, and show-stopping power of the Vegas era. Side by side, these two performers bring the evolution of the King to life in a dynamic production filled with iconic songs, unforgettable costumes, and electrifying performances. The coach will depart Parkes after the concert ends, returning to Cowra for a group dinner at the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant.

Cowra to Sydney.
Its an early morning start today. Check-out of the motel and enjoy breakfast at Cowra Bowling & Recreation Club before boarding the coach back to Sydney. Bid farewell to your fellow travellers as we arrive back at Ibis Sydney Airport, where your tour will end.
