Stroll through atmospheric squares, see landmarks such as St Bavo’s Cathedral and the Castle of the Counts, and enjoy a relaxing canal cruise offering a different perspective of the city’s historic façades and waterways. This afternoon is at leisure, or you may wish to indulge in an optional chocolate tasting and sample some of Belgium’s most celebrated sweet creations. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Enhance Your Journey – Belgian Chocolate Tasting

This morning, travel to Bruges and discover one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities. On a guided tour, wander cobblestone lanes and picturesque squares, taking in highlights such as the Markt Square and its soaring belfry. The remainder of the day is at leisure to continue exploring Bruges at your own pace, or you may wish to join an optional excursion.

    Bruges, Kinderdijk, Rotterdam, Embark Ship

Today, travel to the World Heritage-listed village of Kinderdijk, home to the Netherlands’ largest collection of historic 18th-century windmills. Later, continue to Rotterdam to board Holland America Line’s MS Rotterdam.

  5. 5

    At Sea

Enjoy a day at leisure on board your ship as you sail towards Norway.

  6. 6

    Scenic Cruising, Oslo

Begin the day with scenic cruising along the Oslofjord, the broad waterway stretching south from Norway’s capital for almost 100 kilometres. As you sail past wooded shores and scattered islands, watch for seabirds and fishing boats, and glimpse the summer cabins that dot the coastline — a cherished retreat for locals during the warmer months. This historically significant region has been settled since prehistoric times, and Viking ships discovered along these shores offer a fascinating link to Norway’s past. Later, arrive in Oslo. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore independently or join one of the optional sightseeing tours (additional expense).

  7. 7

    Mandal, Kristiansand

Discover the coastal towns of Mandal and Kristiansand, where Norway’s southern shoreline reveals a gentler character of sandy beaches, colourful harbourfronts and relaxed seaside charm. Spend time exploring the picturesque streets, sampling local cuisine, or discovering cultural attractions at your own pace. Enjoy the day at leisure to wander independently, or join one of the optional sightseeing tours available (additional expense).

  8. 8

Enjoy a special Insider Experience today. Afterwards, enjoy free time to browse local shops or simply soak up the peaceful atmosphere before returning to your ship.

Enjoy freshly made waffles with cream and jam, served with coffee or tea, before a scenic drive with a photo opportunity overlooking Lysefjorden. Continue to the historic Villa Rosehagen, once home to industrialist Marlow Graham and now a charming seaside restaurant, where you can take in panoramic fjord views. Enjoy time to wander the gardens and admire views across the fjord and Jørpeland harbour while savouring freshly made Norwegian waffles with cream and jam, served with coffee or tea.
